Comments like that are always so frustrating to read.

Obviously not you Billy but it's like when you read comments from people saying such as "they'll all be gutted we might stay up as they want us to go down so there's something else to bash DC with". It's just utter drivel.

A common frustration on here i've noticed is that of when people post stuff without facts or evidence etc. And on some occasions i do get and respect that. But then there's so many posts on her telling me what I think and why (or telling the 1867 group or anyone so called anti-chansiri) - which is unbelievably frustrating when it just isn't true. I get many people's frustrations with owlstalk but on here now it feels like it's just becoming the same, but just the opposite away round.

That's almost clever.  Taking the valid criticism of the "group" and then spinning it as a criticism of the people who don't agree with them.  The only issue, is that facts galore have been given, from people who actually know their onions, either in accountancy, finance or through genuine connections in football.  Compare and contrast with the lack of information that the "group" give, their reliance on rumour and inability to answer even basic questions.

Yeah, it was almost clever, but it's still easy to see through.

cheers i'll try and find it

just re the narrative thing though that keeps cropping up - i think you're searching. It's a common theme on here and I think has started to prevent any proper decent discussion as it literally clouds your judgment about anything that's written.

i'm certainly not wanting a tit for tat but it does feel ironic for folk to discuss agendas / narrative, when someone literally posts and associates a video showing the actions of 1 little twirp, with the whole of the 1867 group / fans that would like DC to leave

Full marks for the irony, zero for the accuracy.

Is it not possible to leave the constant childish comments and needless digs and instead have a decent conversation?

If that's true and the case then that's great. Do you mind pointing me in the direction of where I can see that? Those positive steps what we all want, so if that's the case then great.

Nothing childish about what I put, it literally doesn't suit your narrative and the innuendo's in your posts demonstrates that.

I did think that I knew where Ty's post was, but I didnt locate it so you'll have to look for yourself, probably the Attention Seekers Thread, or maybe DR Appreciation, but it's only a few days old so you will be able to find it, if you want to.

Was interested in how that would be perceived on here actually

In fairness to the star they are reporting direct quotes and I dont see any issue; as the matter regarding future plans is clearly important to how we move forward as a club. Could the topic wait until the end of the season, perhaps. My own view is that it would make sense for owner and manager to be regular dialogue regarding these sort of things and that there should be consistent active engagement, to some level at least. DR has now repeatedly said and implied that he doesn't like a lot of what happens off the field and would like to change various things moving forwards. It will certainly be interesting to see how that's perceived by the owner as he's not taken well to that way of thinking in the past.

If you'd read Tylluan's posts about what DR wants re the first team's training facilities and the conversations that are already taking place with other parties, you'd get the impression that positive steps are already being taken & the manager is very likely to get what he wants.

But, that wouldn't fit the narrative would it?

  5. The guy on X who does the tactical analysis stuff, did something about how Pol and Musaba rotated into the false 8 position against WBA, amongst other things. He called it "advanced coaching for the Championship".

I've forgotten the guys name, but his threads are really detailed and interesting to read with plenty of insight.

Who cares? I’m not now, as you’ve been told. Yet my X is scrutinised and reported on here more than anyone still involved.

“Is Beastie dead yet” By Reesh, yet me using the word tumour causes a frenzy. Wild stuff.

By your words you were one of the 3 founders (although you only admitted it after one fairly successful protest and the others had outed themselves). So you're responsible for the poor Comms from day one, for setting an aggressive tone to the owner, for spreading rumours as fact, for refusing to provide even basic information when asked, for attacks on the owners culture which bordered on racism and for personal attacks on the players and much more too. You might not have done all of them yourself, you might not even have been there when some of it happened, but the slap happy way you and the other two went about it at the outset is the root cause, and that dippy lad doing what he did to DC links right back to you three. So own it.

You've been the groups cheerleader for months now, refusing to see any aspect of anything that they have done wrong whilst lambasting the owner for absolutely everything. You personally have stoked rows out of nothing on X just to see the flames go up - which is exactly what the last outburst was all about. Again, that's all (sort of) ok if you own it, but don't complain about being called out on it, whether it's here or X.

I can imagine the meltdown now if we took an 18 year old on loan from Leeds with no first team experience. Crew is shining at the moment for their U18s but has only made the first team bench because of injuries, in particular to Ilia Gruev. Farke has said in today's pre-match that he's not ready for a start yet. At the moment he stands out because he's bossing u18 games against the likes of Millwall (watch how much room they give him in centre mid on a showreel on X). If Leeds go up, the plan is for him to spend a full season in their 21s in PL2, interspersed with first team training. Personally I'd follow that and if he's still shining against the likes of Liverpool and both Manchester clubs then loan him out in January.

If we're looking at Leeds for possible loans then I'd certainly look at Sam Greenwood, currently at Boro. Boro won't be buying him but he won't be in Leeds plans as Farke doesn't fancy him.

But, if you want a Crew type player who's already done a full season of first team football then I'd take a punt on Charlie Savage, if we could get a fire sale out of Reading. Portsmouth and Peterborough nibbled during January and he's attracting interest from the championship.

I watched the Millwall game and yeah he did boss it, even in the second half when they tried to cut off the space that he and Grainger were working in, he was still head & shoulders above.  Farke has picked extra keepers before rather than did into the U21's and has said he would use him if needed.  Definitely one to watch although  I think he'll quickly become one that'll be out of our orbit.  Thanks for your thoughts though - it's good to have your perspective on it.

Greenwood is an interesting shout, Leeds fans had mixed views on him last season but that was the PL, I've not really followed how he's done at Boro beyond missing a penalty last week.

  8. Two young uns at Leeds i'd love us to take a look at, either in Championship or L1.

Charlie Crew - 18, bought from Cardiff, has been on their bench a couple of times recently. Welsh under 21 player that England are also pursuing.  Very composed & cultured midfielder, always seems to have time on the ball and moves it around beautifully.  Already better than our midfielders IMO, if Leeds go up I could see him going out on loan, probably to the Championship, maybe L1 to toughen him up. He's very highly rated there, no way would they sell him in the short term.

Rhys Chadwick - Chaplin 17 - more of an attacking MF and a set piece expert & penalty taker.  Probably not quite as advanced as Crew, he's in the Under 18's but breaking through into the under 21's.  Again though, highly rated & maybe a lower league loan might be the road they go down, but he's a talent too.

I'd be interested in Ty's take, especially with the Welsh connection on Crew.

Wouldn't be public information would it and any rejected bidder like Shaw (if he even did) would generally have an axe to grind.

Just leave them to spout their bollocks - says more about them than DC doesn't it

The point is though that lots of people just accept it on face value and some relatively well known social media accounts amplify it very vocally.

  10. Not to derail what is an interesting discussion but can anyone answer a question that I've asked the protest group several times without ever getting an answer.

They have stated as fact, any times, that there have been firm concrete offers for the club from credible buyers with proof of funds etc and that DC has rejected them/ asked for ludicrous amounts / refused to co operate with them.

I've asked them, who? when? what was offered? and the best I've ever had back was "you can't expect us to tell you that".  Well to my logic, I can expect it - if they're putting these things out as facts and these bids are dead, then they must have details and these details won't be covered by NDA's etc.  Similarly, if a bidder has provided them with this information, then they owe the fans more than to just put it out in the public domain without any sort of context.  I've read what DC said about Shaw, and I'm convinced that he was never a credible buyer so does anyone know what the Group are actually alluding to because many people seem to have run with the "DC is intransigent/greedy" line that they've peddled.

  11. Last night at The Underground in Bradford...great venue btw, friendly staff & cheap drinks.

4 x young punk bands, all decent, headliners being Drella, who are from Bradford.  Very political.

Just a really enjoyable hot and sweaty gig, lots of fun.  Not usually my thing but I'd go watch them again for sure.

Friday night was the marvellous Erika Nockells who I've seen with Wonder Stuff, supporting Echo & The Bunnymen at O2 Leeds.

Again, a great gig, McCulloch's voice struggled at times but when it was good it was very very good and the band were just excellent.  Drinks prices were bloody outrageous though.
