I accept the thinking, but there have probably equally been times that players have been retained and its backfired. The likes of Lee and Hutchinson in recent times, decent players but with appaling injury records and general lack of availability.

Notwithstanding the assertions that it can become a powerful clique that undermines the manager - possibly both those reasons were behind Francis decisions.

I never have strong views as to an individual player, if they leave so be it, if they choose not to join so be it.

Disagree about Lee, there was nothing wrong with his injury record until Carlos ran him into the ground.

Man City may send 18 year old wonder kid Claudio Echeverri out on loan in England to get him used to the pace.

Signed from River Plate last January but loaned straight back until the end of the season. Dubbed the next Messi and is seen as a long term replacement for De Bruyne

I was at the Etihad last night watching City under 18's thump L**ds 4-0 to win the youth cup.

Very obvious to state but bloody hell they have some good players. Won't be surprised to see a couple of them make it to the first team in a year or two. Emile Heskeys lad scored & played pretty well, but really the whole team was a level or 2 better than L**ds.

Hull fair is arguably the best in the country,I think it’s held in October.
I can’t think of any other recommendation to go there but I may be being unfair,no pun intended.

Humber Street Sesh is absolutely brilliant, every August, loads and loads of stages and bands and an absurdly low ticket price.  Set around the Marina, its a great event in a great location for it.  100% recommended if you like new music.

Would you have a punt on Tom Cannon for a Season Long loan from Lester.

He didn't get much of a kick after his injury and Maresco didn't rate him enough for a shirt towards the end of last season.

If we do sign two strikers early enough, I reckon we'll see BTC go out to Donny or a L1 side and possibly Wilks out on a perm and who knows what Windass is doing but his video lookd a bit of a 'shop window'.

If I was Röhl I'd be tying up Wheatley from Man U on full season loan is Ugbo not available to buy (Troyes relegation may mean they keep him as he's not Ligue 1 quality yet).

    So potentially:

Smith, Wheatley, Cannon, as strikers wth Musaba, Gassama  plus one or two  more in the support roles?

Windass is doing a 2 year course at the PFA Business School so I think the video and his LinkedIn presence, is all related to that.

    3) One of them at least is reading OO and reporting back - I got called out on calling them "Attention Seekers" - apparently that's abuse.  Then they went on to say they are seeking attention.

This from page 1 of this thread, right back when the Attention Seekers first started.  Does anything in this quote look familiar? 😂.  It should have been a giveaway there and then.

You tell me - he's the one that openly said in statements re not considering selling but I think it's pretty common knowledge re the meetings

Information to the prospective parties in said meetings

    Genuine buyers

Guess that's up to him - the longer he stays the bigger loss it's going to be really

It's not common knowledge.  It's rumour.  What do you "know" about 2 meetings?  With who?  Adam Shaw? - Because if so that's not a stick to beat DC with?

What information?  Who determines what is "reasonable information?"  Doesn't it depend on context?  A request from a tyre kicker for information will likely yield less returns than a request from a genuine buyer.

Lastly "genuine buyer" - how have you decided that it was a genuine buyer, what's your relevant experience in purchasing football clubs?

Geoff you admittedly instigated the  Nevs, and as recent as this week you've been posting antiDC stuff on twitter but at no time have you ever posted any form of suggestion as to what alternatives there are or apparently any of the other stuff raised here. Baza and Jake at least tried so  kudos to them, and as far as I recall you've known a few posters in here personally IRL for something approaching 15-20 years but you don't feel comfortable doing what Baz and Jake did, or is it that you can't?

More over, from someone who Quote tweets his followers to encourage pile ons*  and screen shots posts from here on Twitter in the same manner, to have gall to say he's getting abused because people are simply laughing at him and his myopic view of the  club, plus his inability to respond to any questions put to him is utterly absurd.

Fundamentally it's hypocrisy in its purest form.

Then ultimately, why bother posting this evening to moan? What did you expect to happen?

Objectively, and this is something I've had to deal with on another matter quite recently with real life lawyers, police and potentially a prosecution, there's nothing posted that would be considered 'abuse' and all you've done today is made yourself look silly. I don't like the word snowflake, as it can have other connotations but it's probably th most appropriate word to use in this case.

*QT-ing means that all your followers see the posts, not just any that also follow the person you're replying to, and is used by bullies (or more accurately cowards) to encourage their followers to join in and pile into the argument.

What the hell kind of wormhole have I just been transported into where I find myself agreeing wholeheartedly with Andyben?

Comments like that are always so frustrating to read.

Obviously not you Billy but it's like when you read comments from people saying such as "they'll all be gutted we might stay up as they want us to go down so there's something else to bash DC with". It's just utter drivel.

A common frustration on here i've noticed is that of when people post stuff without facts or evidence etc. And on some occasions i do get and respect that. But then there's so many posts on her telling me what I think and why (or telling the 1867 group or anyone so called anti-chansiri) - which is unbelievably frustrating when it just isn't true. I get many people's frustrations with owlstalk but on here now it feels like it's just becoming the same, but just the opposite away round.

That's almost clever.  Taking the valid criticism of the "group" and then spinning it as a criticism of the people who don't agree with them.  The only issue, is that facts galore have been given, from people who actually know their onions, either in accountancy, finance or through genuine connections in football.  Compare and contrast with the lack of information that the "group" give, their reliance on rumour and inability to answer even basic questions.

Yeah, it was almost clever, but it's still easy to see through.

cheers i'll try and find it

just re the narrative thing though that keeps cropping up - i think you're searching. It's a common theme on here and I think has started to prevent any proper decent discussion as it literally clouds your judgment about anything that's written.

i'm certainly not wanting a tit for tat but it does feel ironic for folk to discuss agendas / narrative, when someone literally posts and associates a video showing the actions of 1 little twirp, with the whole of the 1867 group / fans that would like DC to leave

Full marks for the irony, zero for the accuracy.

Is it not possible to leave the constant childish comments and needless digs and instead have a decent conversation?

If that's true and the case then that's great. Do you mind pointing me in the direction of where I can see that? Those positive steps what we all want, so if that's the case then great.

Nothing childish about what I put, it literally doesn't suit your narrative and the innuendo's in your posts demonstrates that.

I did think that I knew where Ty's post was, but I didnt locate it so you'll have to look for yourself, probably the Attention Seekers Thread, or maybe DR Appreciation, but it's only a few days old so you will be able to find it, if you want to.

Was interested in how that would be perceived on here actually

In fairness to the star they are reporting direct quotes and I dont see any issue; as the matter regarding future plans is clearly important to how we move forward as a club. Could the topic wait until the end of the season, perhaps. My own view is that it would make sense for owner and manager to be regular dialogue regarding these sort of things and that there should be consistent active engagement, to some level at least. DR has now repeatedly said and implied that he doesn't like a lot of what happens off the field and would like to change various things moving forwards. It will certainly be interesting to see how that's perceived by the owner as he's not taken well to that way of thinking in the past.

If you'd read Tylluan's posts about what DR wants re the first team's training facilities and the conversations that are already taking place with other parties, you'd get the impression that positive steps are already being taken & the manager is very likely to get what he wants.

But, that wouldn't fit the narrative would it?

  12. The guy on X who does the tactical analysis stuff, did something about how Pol and Musaba rotated into the false 8 position against WBA, amongst other things. He called it "advanced coaching for the Championship".

I've forgotten the guys name, but his threads are really detailed and interesting to read with plenty of insight.

Who cares? I’m not now, as you’ve been told. Yet my X is scrutinised and reported on here more than anyone still involved.

“Is Beastie dead yet” By Reesh, yet me using the word tumour causes a frenzy. Wild stuff.

By your words you were one of the 3 founders (although you only admitted it after one fairly successful protest and the others had outed themselves). So you're responsible for the poor Comms from day one, for setting an aggressive tone to the owner, for spreading rumours as fact, for refusing to provide even basic information when asked, for attacks on the owners culture which bordered on racism and for personal attacks on the players and much more too. You might not have done all of them yourself, you might not even have been there when some of it happened, but the slap happy way you and the other two went about it at the outset is the root cause, and that dippy lad doing what he did to DC links right back to you three. So own it.

You've been the groups cheerleader for months now, refusing to see any aspect of anything that they have done wrong whilst lambasting the owner for absolutely everything. You personally have stoked rows out of nothing on X just to see the flames go up - which is exactly what the last outburst was all about. Again, that's all (sort of) ok if you own it, but don't complain about being called out on it, whether it's here or X.
