  1. Star reporting that initial discussions between DC and DR have been positive which is good news
  2. You tell me - he's the one that openly said in statements re not considering selling but I think it's pretty common knowledge re the meetings Information to the prospective parties in said meetings Genuine buyers Guess that's up to him - the longer he stays the bigger loss it's going to be really
  3. I know you may disagree with the points but lets be right you know what the points and reasons are by now. It would take ages to write them all out again and I can't really see any benefit from that.
  4. No interest in responding to your posts / comments Reesh tbh. Not going to even try and engage. I get more sensible dialogue from my 2 year old. At least the majority on here can be civil whilst disagreeing

  7. I know in terms of the 2 meetings that were held but the complete reluctance of him to provide perfectly reasonable information, thus making things a total waste of time. And various other occasions where he's simply refused to have a conversation at all. That and the information in his own statements where he's said he's never considered selling. Perhaps some part of it is down to valuation, I really don't know on that front though. Re, your question about why I think he needs to sell up - not sure if that's a broad question or not. As I guess the reasons have been covered numerous times but perhaps the debate is whether there's a right to ask an owner to sell up or not. Can see both sides of that. Though in DC's own words he did say he'd sell when the fans dont want him (granted it would be impossible to ever ascertain the split of who would / wouldn't that)
  8. Plenty of what you post MK that I find myself in agreement with. The only thing above that I personally don't agree with is the party about the solution for a new owner etc. My view is that isn't the role of fans, nor should it be. I think it's only ever been wanted for the owner to actively look to sell the club and engage with prospective parties.
  9. I won't lie it did feel a bit ironic that people on here were posting about how gutted the anti-DC brigade would be at the owls pulling it off and staying up, at exactly the time that said people (including myself and others involved in 1867) were out celebrating and absolutely buzzing
  10. These things naturally ebb and flow, usually with results. Agreed and it's a frustration of mine. It's noticeable that a decent chunk of our fans don't see a bigger picture (IMO). Perhaps the nature of a large portion of football fans in general. But the reduction in engagement after a couple of good results has always seemed plain wrong to me but lots are fickle. My biggest issue is the exaggeration of anything that happens, however minor and the gaslighting. Agree that no doubt that happens on occasions (IMO there's enough concerns / evidence of the same without any need to exaggerate anything at all) The 2 biggest reasons for protesters at the minute seem to be his 2 outbursts this season, however they quote your version. For some perhaps, i'm honestly not sure. My own reasons (and a large number of those I speak to) are doing so entirely based on a catalogue of reasons that have built up over the year. Chansiri saying he won't fund the club because of abuse to his family has become Chansiri has refused to fund the club. No mention of fan abuse or the fact that he paid for Rohl immediately after. Unfair this; 1867group have on radio and in written statements criticised any form of abuse to the chairman. The tax bill. Why don't you pay it? Everyone knows it was rhetorical, the bill was paid the next day and was caused by a cash flow issue, presumably due to the sacking of Munoz and getting Röhl in. But this has become he has run out of money and needs the fans to pay his tax bill. A topic that no doubt divides opinion. The fact that DC approached journalists to get this out says a lot to me. I personally think it was a disgraceful thing to do - perhaps i'm wrong but it appeared to be a way trying to put the fear into certain fans and was almost a call for more respect / gratitude. I wasn't shocked at all to see the bill paid. Re his general finances I really don't know but have had concerns regarding this - the incidents of players not being paid, lack of investment in various things, statements and what a appears to always be a need to get funds from tickets etc as early as possible. You are presumably reasonably intelligent blokes, you know these statements are being taken out of context and are actually not that bad. You've released enough dodgy statements this season to know that getting your message across isn't as easy as it looks and English is your native language. Agree that no doubt the second language thing doesn't help. Have always thought it would be so much better if he puts people in roles and gives them the freedom to do their jobs and things like that wouldn't even come back. The issue is, many of your followers don't. Your truth is their truth. I think people have a personal responsibility for their own views. This is where perhaps where I and some on here disagree with what a protest group should be and what their roles and responsibilities should or shouldn't be. As the on field criticisms of this season are gradually becoming irrelevant, the narrative is going back to 3 years ago, but if it was that bad, where were the protests last season or the season before following relegation when things were objectively worse? Further up you referred to protests being because of 2 statements from this season but here state the narrative is based on 3 years ago? Me personally, my views and involvement in any protests is based on what i've seen over a collective 9 years. I had a lot of concerns after year one. Clearly i'd have been laughed out of town if i'd have suggested protests then. I was shocked there were no protests after the stadium sale debacle, points deduction and relegation. During the last season in league one I thought DC did plenty of good things and had learnt various lessons (I happily told him this last summer when I met him). My view though since that promotion is that there's a number of incidents that to me show he's not changed and is incapable of running the club properly. The other issue is that when any of these questions ate asked you ignore them completely and go for the low hanging fruit. If there's any examples of this i'd happily respond with my view. From the fairly limited engagement I've had with the 1867 guys to date, I honestly thing they would too. I genuinely think if you or anyone messaged them with particularly issues / questions as you suggest that they'd happily address and respond. If you could address the actual issues of your detractors, then maybe they'd be a bit more civil. as above
  11. I'm obviously not as clever as you Tim, as i'm genuinely struggling to follow or understand that
  12. For full disclosure whilst there's plenty of comments and contribution on OT that I agree with, there's plenty I dont and I especially dont like some of the responses / almost mocking type of replies that some provide (along with the responses where some falsely categorise comments that aren't a bashing, as though people are part of some sort of DC fan club).
  13. When you say "you" who are you referring to? Presumably the official 1867group on x rather than me individual? Either way the above is just another post where you say what other people are thinking and why they have done / dont know what they've done. And once again it's quite clearly garbage. Find it slightly odd that you suggest the group were quiet when it appeared we were going down - was it not literally the opposite of that in the main? Tbf for balance discussion and protest has been at various different stages, during different runs of form, so any kind of point or argument around then doesn't really wash. It's an interesting take, as I know some people have criticised the group for only protesting during poor league form (which wasn't true) but your take actually seems to be the opposite. When you say about the drum being banged and kicking off again since the weekend; what are you referring to? On a side note; there was the collective meeting of fans groups this week (including 1867) and it was collectively positive and constructive, with all groups of the same views
  14. Pretty much my point exactly - it's just utter garbage
  15. Comments like that are always so frustrating to read. Obviously not you Billy but it's like when you read comments from people saying such as "they'll all be gutted we might stay up as they want us to go down so there's something else to bash DC with". It's just utter drivel. A common frustration on here i've noticed is that of when people post stuff without facts or evidence etc. And on some occasions i do get and respect that. But then there's so many posts on her telling me what I think and why (or telling the 1867 group or anyone so called anti-chansiri) - which is unbelievably frustrating when it just isn't true. I get many people's frustrations with owlstalk but on here now it feels like it's just becoming the same, but just the opposite away round.
  16. cheers i'll try and find it just re the narrative thing though that keeps cropping up - i think you're searching. It's a common theme on here and I think has started to prevent any proper decent discussion as it literally clouds your judgment about anything that's written. i'm certainly not wanting a tit for tat but it does feel ironic for folk to discuss agendas / narrative, when someone literally posts and associates a video showing the actions of 1 little twirp, with the whole of the 1867 group / fans that would like DC to leave
  17. What was the attempted season ticket boycott? I don't remember seeing that? Obviously I can't have seen or noticed every single comment that goes round but me personally i've never said people shouldn't buy season tickets. On Nixon; again can't comment on all but I don't need an Alan Nixon story to form my own personal opinions. I'd be utterly shocked if anyone did. My opinions had zero to do with what the papers had or hadn't said.
  18. Quoted by who? You've literally said about how a news story about Hogan got the group going, fired up etc. That's just utter nonsense; the frustrations of fans, the group etc, have in the main appeared genuine and reasonable and certainly didn't need an Alan Nixon story. I'll be entirely honest about what I said about the transfer window - I thought it was a farce and that DR got left hung out to dry. DR was also clearly frustrated by the lack of recruitment. I absolutely did not think we got what we needed and didn't think we'd have any chance of staying up (I was wrong - hopefully). I didn't expect cash to be splashed or a mountain of transfers but hoped for more, to at least give us a fighting chance. The fact is that the 3 loan signings have been great - I had zero hope in them tbh, and I based that on their past records. DR is clearly a manager that is able to get the very best out of players and credit to him for that.
  19. Is it not possible to leave the constant childish comments and needless digs and instead have a decent conversation? If that's true and the case then that's great. Do you mind pointing me in the direction of where I can see that? Those positive steps what we all want, so if that's the case then great.
  20. go on ... he's made direct quotes regarding this, so what's the issue? it will be really interesting to see how the conversations go IMO and what the nitty gritty is that DR is really after
  21. Was interested in how that would be perceived on here actually In fairness to the star they are reporting direct quotes and I dont see any issue; as the matter regarding future plans is clearly important to how we move forward as a club. Could the topic wait until the end of the season, perhaps. My own view is that it would make sense for owner and manager to be regular dialogue regarding these sort of things and that there should be consistent active engagement, to some level at least. DR has now repeatedly said and implied that he doesn't like a lot of what happens off the field and would like to change various things moving forwards. It will certainly be interesting to see how that's perceived by the owner as he's not taken well to that way of thinking in the past.
  22. Whilst i didn't agree with a lot of what was posted on this site, i did tbf think it was ok and that the majority of posters were sound but honestly the more you read the more utter tribe like the above you see
  23. Interest in what? What were you expecting in terms of interest in recent weeks? Genuine question that btw as i'm not following. Agree that there's plenty of idiots that only see the short term picture and get particularly blind sided by just results. Also plenty that aren't like that too.
  24. Give over - there's literally thousands of people that would like the Chairman to sell the club, so the behaviour of the odd individual cannot be associate with a large chuck of other people; that's totally wrong and unfair. Everyone is entitled to their opinion; whilst we may have different ones. I personally dont agree with what the kid and his dad did. On the flip side i've seen some mad comments in the past e.g. "DC is the best chairman in our history" etc - but I dont associate those type of comments with you or anyone else on here but that would be wrong and unfair.
