  1. I said at the start of the season he shouldn't be judged until after 10 league games. I now think it should be 8. Time to go but doubt Chansiri can afford the payoff for him and all his staff. If Warnock were to be unveiled as boss on Monday on a short contract contract I'd be happy. Our situation is exactly the type where he excels.

  3. Comment from Radio Wales commentator just now: "Sheffield Wednesday have a system of play whereas Swansea just have a team of talented individuals but no system" .... or words to that effect. Things looking up !
  4. Unlike some, I think that Delgado is a tidy player but not on the left which looks like where he'll be again.
  5. Wednesday: Vasquez, Valentin, B Diaby, Bernard, Famewo, Delgado, Bannan, Hendrick, Buckley, Musaba, Gregory Substitutes: Dawson, Palmer, Iorfa, Byers, Bakinson, Paterson, Windass, Smith, Fletcher
  6. Staton being deliberately provocative. Pity Xisco’s English isn't good enough to calmly put him in his place.
  7. Agreed. I've posted above that my real hope is that Xisco will yet ram the sly digs from some scribes down their throats. I quite like Harry btw.
  8. If losing respect in the eyes of some meant we got out of our current mess, I'd happily suffer it.
  9. As it stands our most 'realistic' hope is that Xisco will yet work the oracle notwithstanding his bizarre press conferences which are likely fuelled by anger at some quizzers, pressure and language barrier. To make the wholesale changes that transpired without anything like a proper pre-season was always going to be a mountainous task. To paraphrase someone else, I would love it, love it, if he goes on to turn things round and metaphorically shoves the words of the slimy smartarses giving him grief now up their (sometimes) fat arses. Playing a left footed LWB as LWB might help. In the words of another sage; "it's a funny old game"
  10. Really good points. Of course it'll not happen though agreed. Apart from your last 8 or 9 words there's little doubt that some/many would genuinely choose relegation over seeing him as manager..... even on a short term appointment. To be clear though, he 100% does not hate us and never has done. In fact he'd love to poke the other lot in the eye by turning us round after the way he left them.... or at least would have done a few years back. Doubt he'd want the hassle now.
  11. He absolutely doesn't. I used to hate him 'til I met him socially a few years ago. He was joking about the relegation gubbins. Can't believe that people took it seriously and still do. Turns out that he's a decent bloke, who absolutely loves the game and talks a lot of common sense football wise. Last time he was linked with us some said he was past it.... two promotions to PL since and a couple of relegation saves against all the odds. The ship has sailed now I think but on a short term gig he'd definitely get the current shambles on an even keel. Its what he does consistently.
  12. I actually think that we do have a pool of players good enough for the Championship. Ok some are still bedding in but are capable of settling down. If you judged Valentin on first appearance you'd write him off but not on his second and third outings. I think we're ok keeper wise. Decent pool of CB's though why Ihekwei can't get a sniff, I'm not sure. Delgado on the right with Valentin might be tasty.... not a left back/LWB though. James surely a better bet at least until the next window. Not a world beater but steady enough and left footed. Buckley is a good addition IMO but perhaps not fully match fit yet. Good signs first half but FFS Xisco, play players in their correct positions
  13. Fair enough I can see that point of view but I'm one of the 'some' - it would be the end of the road. It would be like a faux version of SWFC. I get Bury fans wanting a phoenix football team in their town, bearing the name of the town. There's only one Wednesday though.... for me. Let's hope it never happens.
  14. Yes, some see sponsorship/funds input, others see narcissism and ego. Nobs.
  15. Not sure personally. 156 years of tradition down the pan would likely kill the 'spirit' for many. Hope it never comes to that.
  16. Ideally DC would have kept quiet but with the flak he is copping from too many hypocritical gobshites it's understandable why he felt honour bound to respond. As Mal outlined above, the double standards displayed and the frenzy being whipped up on other platforms is nauseating. The most ardent by the way are openly saying that they've not been down to Hillsborough for years and won't be there on Saturday to join in the protest that they are urging.
  17. He's an oddball for sure but I reckon that this version of events is pretty much true. Some will describe it as a rant - typically in a 200 page thread somewhere slagging him of remorselessly.
  18. His anti Chansiri ravings are spectacular examples of his hypocracy so no surprise if so. Ring piece actually flatters him.
