  1. Do the commentators on ifollow audio know that we can't see anything ??
  2. As far as I found out, there is neither ifollow nor Sky coverage. They had one of the pre-season games on the youtube channel. I guess they are not allowed to do it for the Carabao cup. The first round of the cup was on ifollow video archive on the NEXT DAY.
  3. Owls v Rochdale ticket news - News - Sheffield Wednesday (swfc.co.uk) No ifollow tonight! I'm still not sure, if I will give my money to Sky or wait for the replay.
  4. He has been suspended by Lincoln Chris Maguire suspended by Lincoln after alleged breach of FA’s betting rules | The Independent What I would love to know is, how many of the refs do place bets against us. I just hope that they also get caught one day.
  5. Yeah, I also hope he's good. Quote from the examiner: How would you describe Mallik Wilks as a player? Frustrating. Hull City expert delivers mixed verdict on new Sheffield Wednesday signing Mallik Wilks - YorkshireLive (examinerlive.co.uk) But I'm confident, that he'll be good for us!
  6. It's official now Mallik Wilks checks in! - News - Sheffield Wednesday (swfc.co.uk)
  7. Sheffield Wednesday vs Rochdale on 23 Aug 22 - Match Centre - Sheffield Wednesday (swfc.co.uk) Current league position in League Two: Sources: Preview: Sheffield Wednesday vs. Rochdale - prediction, team news, lineups - Sports Mole Sheffield Wednesday-Rochdale - League Cup 2022/2023 Head to Head Statistics (whoscored.com) I'm looking forward to this game. My lineup would be: Dawson Heneghan, Iorfa, Palmer Brown, Alex Hunt, Vaulks, FDB, Pato Wilks, Sow
  8. DM said that McGuinness already played previously on the left side: https://youtu.be/6WSthcqhWDw?t=1038
  9. I guess that's the incoming business done for this window? DM was talking about a third goalkeeper, but I hope he dismissed the idea in the meantime. How likely is it that both goalkeepers will be out injured at the same time? I wouldn't mind another defender; we've got plenty of options in midfield and won't find another striker (after Wilks) anyway. Outgoing: Alex Hunt?? Keep: FDB (unless somebody offers 2M) and Sow Does anybody agree??
  10. I just like looking at the packed away end celebrating the goals
  11. Update Portsmouth: pre-game: Paterson, Adeniran, no new injuries (red card Gregory: 1 game ban)MK Dons: pre-game: Smith, in-game: Famewo Sunderland: pre-game: Smith , Famewo (out for some time) no new injuries Charlton: pre-game: Smith, Famewo no new injuries Petersborough: pre-gam: Smith, Famewo, Hunt (illness) no new injuries (red card James -three match ban) Bolton pre-game: Smith, Famewo, Hunt, James (red); no new injuries (First game for McGuinness)
  12. When I saw todays lineup I was really deflated. I love Big Ben and I didn't trust Iorfa. However, IMO the back three played very well today. Should I hope for the same defence next week or do I still want Ben Heneghan back? What's your opinion?
  13. I know that some might disagree, but I do like our shithousery😁
  14. You are well informed!!! Heneghan on the bench? Did anybody expect that? When you said that Heneghan might not start I though he's injured but then he wouldn't be on the bench.
  15. I do agree with you that your squad should be good enough to win the league or at least achieve automatics. And I still believe that we will. The difference between the two of us is that I do believe that DM will take us there and that I don't believe that we will be able to get any manager, who is better than DM. I don't like Moore's lineup, I don't like his substitution strategy and tactics. However, I just don't have his knowledge, so I guess that he's right and I am wrong. But apart from that, a manager's job is not only these things. For me the motivation of the squad, creating a good culture at the club, bringing in good players, etc, etc., etc. are also important jobs of a manager. Moreover it is essential for an successful club to have some consistancy and lay a foundation to built something exciting. That's what Moore is great at and I believe that a change of manager would destroy all of that and set us back to zero and put us back to the downward spiral. Currently we are on our way up - I'm not worried about the speed. For me the important thing is that we are improving that we are getting promotion this season and that we do this with a stable club, who will succeed in the Championship and above. We won't get that, if we don't allow some consistancy.
  16. These are the squad values according to transfermarkt.com. I wouldn't swap teams with anybody, but I also don't thing that this table suggests any real advantage. Most likely it will come down to performance on the day and consistancy Many other teams have 5 to 6 m€, which will be an disadvantage. Without checking, which of the top ten squads do you think is us???
  17. 13 points for the next 7 games (2 loss, 1 draw, 4 wins)
  18. Good first interview. Looking forward to seeing him on the pitch
  19. Thanks HoylandOwl for your kind words! 😘 What I heard between the lines in DM's interview: - We'll change to a back for for Bolton - McGuinness will start on the left side, Iorfa won't Am I guessing to much or do you agree? Here's the match preview: Match preview - Bolton v Wednesday - News - Sheffield Wednesday (swfc.co.uk)
  20. He signed!!! Mark McGuinness joins Owls on loan - News - Sheffield Wednesday (swfc.co.uk)
  21. At least for errors in the first half, he could and should check during halftime. Why shouldn't they compensate for errors by being a bit more generous with further decisions? I don't say they should make more "errors" to compensate, but there is always room for interpretation and they can easily try to make up for it. Many refs give all against us and nothing for us all game long. That's bias against our club / the size of our club / reaction on the fanbase - but that has nothing to do with human errors.
  22. I don't mind errors - that's human. But I am struggling to accept that sometimes the refs are obviously biased or intimidated. I'm still annoyed about the ref, who disallowed Chey's goal .. not because he made that "error", but because he afterwards did not make up for that error but continued to work against us. Usually refs, who make errors, should try to make up for them in the course of the game. If they don't it shows IMO that it wasn't an error but something worse!
  23. My defence (owls) screwed up. ☹️ I'm not even checking my other players
  24. Is Jamie Smith part of the problem? I used to like him, but I found his reaction very strange. He can't expect the player to be happy to be substituded. Why did he follow Byers and make such a fuss around it? Today it's the first time ever that I wonder, if DM may need another assistant? They've been working together for 10 years - time for a change? Sorry, if that sounds harsh. I am really pleased, that our players are currently all eager to be on the pitch. Byers only reacted to Smith's actions. I'm only watching on ifollow. What is your opinion about Smith and his relationship to the players (you see more of it live in the stadium).
