Not as much as the Messerschmitts worried my great grandparents

I wasn't alive, my parents were not alive, my grandparents didn't fight in the war,

but what I learnt from history is that you always have to speak up, if somebody is blamed for his nationality or race (Thanks Professor Plum 💙) and that it is very dangerous to classify people by religon, ancestry, nationality, colour of the hair or skin or whatever.

I do really feel sorry for what happend, but don't you think that hate against a nation or people, who were born in the "wrong" country, are the seed for the next crime on humanity?

I haven't seen Moores press conference so I don't know who's fit or not although I have heard Heneghan is out for a few weeks.Palmer could come in for either Iorfa or Hunt if they aren't fit. Fully expect Wilks to feature at sometime, coming on from the bench to break the deadlock maybe.

I still can't find any video, but here's the transcript:

What Darren Moore said on Fisayo Dele-Bashiru's future, Michael Smith, injuries and transfers - YorkshireLive (examinerlive.co.uk)

Hi Professor Plum, sorry, but it's very quiet on this front.

I missed the live conference and in the meantime the link disappeared from the SWFC page.  Nothing on youtube yet.

SheffCam also seems to be busy as his video isn't online either. I'll post both videos as soon as I find them.

(I have committed to not sharing PunkyHorrors)

Here's the club's match preview  (can't remember, if I posted it already)  Match preview: Owls v Forest Green Rovers - News - Sheffield Wednesday (swfc.co.uk)

EDIT:  @Professor Plum I will send you a direct message with the links to the videos instead.

I guess that's within the owlsonline rules.

@Germanbird Any idea where I can view the press conference Mon? I can't find it anywhere. Nice link would do the trick. You don't seem to have posted any links to SheffCam or PunkyHorrors either recently. They'd be great and much appreciated by all if you could oblige. TIA.😀

I read a lot about players wanting to sign for him, and it’s clear that he has attracted some good players to the club.

But why do they want to play for him?

    Is it:

    1) Because he’s a hard task master, disciplinarian, kicks them up the arse if they don’t pull their weight and runs them into the ground, a la Howard Wilkinson?

    OR

    2) Because he’s a nice bloke who goes easy on players, puts an arm around them and is happy at getting 80-90% out of them?

One thing I will say about Wednesday sides of the last few years, is that we’ve had talented squads and individual players with a lot of ability, but we haven’t had the collective toughness, will to win or mental attitude of a Wilko side, and whilst I blame previous manager’s more than anyone or anything else for our mediocrity, I think that’s a further reason as to why we haven’t progressed on the field.

I don't think that Moore is easy on players only because he doesn't put them down in front of the camera.  Do you have any insider knowledge about his management style or are you just guessing?

He seems to have fixed the problems - which we had under other managers - that we wouldn't win when the other team scored first. We show so much more mental strength on the field than we did previously. Nowadays I'm not worried, if the other team scores first, as I know that we do have the mentality to catch up.

  8. Here's my lineup:

    Stockdale
    Iorfa Ihiekwe McGuinness
    Palmer Byers Bannan Bakinson Brown
    Wilks Windass

I know that the team against Bolton deserves to keep their shirt, but I made some changes anyway:
Brown for Johnson because of his outstanding performance in the cup game
(Adeniran missed out, but will get some gametime as sub)
Wilks for Gregory  (although I do rate Gregory higher than Windass).  I want to see Wilks after years of negotiations and I want to see him together with Windass because they know each other and I guess that Windass was one of the reasons, why he chose us.  For that reason my future striking partners are Gregory/Smith or Wilks/Windass (at least till I change my mind)

    What's your team?

It was on Monday when the show started and announced Malik Wilks and said something like especially with news Smith could be out for a couple of months 🤔🤔🤔

Might have been asleep whilst I was driving 🤦🏼

@Germanbirddont visit Rotherham it’s really not worth even a quick look as you can take from others it really is bad although not as bad as some make out 🙄

I will have a quick look and at least a beer or coffee. I am far to nosey to give it s miss . Maybe I see some OWLs on the streets  They seem to have a lot

What you must realise is that Happy lives in Rotherham,  newspapers are what they eat fish and chips out of rather than read, they have limited electricity a day so most is spent on porn sites and listening to t'wireless on't tinternet,  when they are without power they stand in the garden pointing at airplanes in awe.

😁 In that case I maybe should start again to post podcasts or youtube previews for him to listen to?

Next time I come to Sheffield, I plan to pay Rotherham a quick visit to check out how bad it really is. Can you recommend anything in Rotherham, which I should see or experience?

Want him to succeed but accepting mediocrity has got us where we are.

I have to disagree with this. I rather believe that lack of continuity has got us where we are. We tried to buy success instead of building it and we changed managers like other people change their underwear.

Did I not hear it right on Radio Sheffield last night that Smith is out for a couple of months?

    Don't trust Radio Sheffield.

According to the Examiner, Smith is back in training

Sheffield Wednesday handed timely injury boost as Michael Smith returns to full training - YorkshireLive (examinerlive.co.uk)

"It is not beyond the realms of possibility that Smith could be included in the matchday squad when Forest Green Rovers visit Hillsborough on Saturday. "Depending on how he feels and what symptoms he has from it we'll see how the games come and when he might be involved," added Moore."
