  1. Thinking about the psychology, the fact that we’ve never heard DR moan about injuries, the ref, the pitch or generally appear hard done to, must have a big effect on the mindset of the players.
Win, lose or draw, DR’s spoken about the progress and the process, and always appears to be looking forward rather than feeling sorry for himself.
The positivity of a first time manager versus the journeyman.

  2. As a team performance overall, we definitely deserved a point tonight. Thought Iorfa, Bernard and Famewo battled well against a difficult forward line.
I came away thinking we’d matched the top-of-the-league in a lot of key areas. Strangely though, I thought we also carried some real 5/10 performances from BB, Byers and Patterson, (although lovely cushioned header for the assist). Marvin didn’t even make 5/10. (Remember when he was the saviour?).

If Red Bull come in and move stadium, change the name, kit, badge, then what is left of the club we support?

It’s MK Dons with better PR. Of course their hope is it would be more successful on the pitch than MK Dons, but if it’s a team that wins trophies wearing a different kit and badge with a different name in a different stadium that you want to watch then why not just go and watch Man City.

We’ve already moved stadium (from Olive Grove), changed name (from The Wednesday), and changed nickname (from the Blades). There’s even been periods when we’ve not had stripes on the home shirts.

We’ve got previous - so what would we change again in return for being a well run organisation?

Given only Ipswich out scored us at home last season, I wouldn't say it was an obvious gap. The lack of chances created is far more of a concern IMO

That’s the difference between how chances are created at Championship level vs L1. There was a difference in our style of play last season vs Ipswich, and why they’ve adapted so much better - and ultimately scored more goals.
My hope is that this can be coached and understood by the players, and it’s not just down to lack of ability.

  5. I like the fact that DR has been able to speak about all the new coaches, and outline what they’ll add to the team.

You’ should expect that, but not always the case with the managers on the carousel dragging along their bunch of mates and hangers-on.

    XM brought his brother.

  6. If it were Jan/Feb I’d get the call for Colin/Big Sam to do a rescue job and save us. But there’s still 36 games left.
Surely we can set our sights higher at this stage? There must be someone that can make us feel like we’re taking a step forward (and I include stepping forward from Saint Darren too).

Cooper took over Forest at the end of September, with them rock bottom, and got them up via the play off final same season.
I’m not saying that should be our expectations but it must be possible to do more than just put the tin hat on and call for Colin.

Plus - the d*ckheads from R*dio Sh*ffield seem to be pushing to get their mate Colin a job so they can all have a big laugh and get some great quotes. Which automatically makes it a no for me.

Perhaps I'm being a bit soft but I really do like listening to Xisco and his attitude.

Agree. I think it was really important for the new manager to be a good man manager - and it feels like XM is that.
For all his faults, DM seemed well liked, and last year’s squad have got enough challenges with the transition.
To take a close-knit group, add in 10 new players and create a new culture is going to take some management.
