Chris Hardy, S6 Foodbank Manager, said: “Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, their community arm, and their brilliant fans have long been supporters of S6 Foodbank.

“We're pleased to be holding our final foodbank collection of the 2021/22 season ahead of Wednesday’s last home match of the campaign.

“We'll be collecting non-perishable food and cash donations at our usual two locations, by the bridge on Parkside Road and outside the Owls Megastore from 10:00am.

“We have a particular need for tinned meat products, UHT milk, long-life fruit juice, cereal, tinned fruit, and toiletries, but can accept all in-date and long-life food products, along with hygiene items.

“As the cost of living crisis affects all of us, your support is appreciated now more than ever. Our 11-site foodbank network is currently supporting around 1,200 people each week across the city with emergency food, debt advice and housing and benefits support.

“Thank you all for your support."
