cheat Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Four players scoring ten (or more) goals doesn't seem that big a deal, but it rarely happens. We last did it in 2006-07 - Deon Burton (13), Steve MacLean (13), Marcus Tudgay (11) and Chris Brunt (10). Prior to that it was the 90-91 glory season - David Hirst (32), Paul Williams (17), John Sheridan (12) and Nigel Pearson (12). And the one before that, 85-86 - Lee Chapman (15), Brian Marwood (15), Carl Shutt (13) and Mel Sterland (11). So, as you can see, it is that big a deal. For this thread I take the very simplistic calculation of goals scored in the number of games we've had so far and assume that the players will score at the same ratio in the remaining games. It almost seems pointless asking the question this season. Very little chance of four players making it, probably a more realistic question is will anyone? With 23 games played, and a minimum of 26 to play we have just three players with more than a single goal to their name. Smith and Musaba lead the way with three, so their final season projection is six. Cadamarteri is expected to finish on four, although with his introduction to the first team having only been recently, this is hopefully a falsely low estimation. Our single scorers are on course for another. Quote
cheat Posted January 1, 2024 Author Posted January 1, 2024 Seven goals since the opening post. Two for Musaba, two for Johnson, and one each for Cadamarteri, Gassama, and Windass. Musaba leads the way with five, and an end of season projection of nine. Smith, Cadamarteri, and Johnson have three and are on course to finish the season on five. Windass on two, should finish the season on four, with our single scorers set to get another one. Quote
cheat Posted January 27, 2024 Author Posted January 27, 2024 (edited) There have been five Wednesday goals (plus an own goal) in the last four games. Windass’s two doubled his tally, with Palmer, Wilks and Gassama getting the others. Musaba is still our leading scorer on five, with an end of season projection of eight. Windass now has four, and should finish up with 6. Smith, Cadamarteri, and Johnson have three, with another two to come. Gassama on two should get one more, as should our single scorers. Theman Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 (edited) One hopes we have at least 2 into double figures, hopefully Musaba And Gassama👍 Edited January 27, 2024 by Theman Quote
cheat Posted February 17, 2024 Author Posted February 17, 2024 Five goals in the last six games since the last update. Ugbo contributed three of them, with Cadamarteri and Musaba also hitting the net. Musaba is still our leading scorer with six, with a final tally projection of eight. Cadamarteri and Windass are next on four and on course for just one more. Smith, Cadamarteri and Ugbo on three are also on course for another goal, but if you use the games since Ugbo signed then he should get another five. Gassama is also on course for one more, but our single scorers are now projected to not add to their totals. Quote

cheat Posted March 29, 2024 Author Posted March 29, 2024 Five goals in six games since the last update. Three for Ugbo, and one each for Gassama and Cadamarteri. Ugbo and Musaba lead the goal scoring chart with six each. With Ugbo joining in January his adjusted projection puts him on course to finish on nine. Musaba is due one more. And the bad news is that the only others expected to add to their tally are Cadamarteri and Windass with one more each. Quote
Andyben Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 If we keep Ugbo then I've every confidence that we'll have all four of the young strikers in double figures next season Quote
