Barry Bannan has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Season award.

The Owls skipper has been influential for Darren Moore’s men this campaign and is now nominated for the league’s top individual prize.

The Scot’s statistics make for good reading, having played 44 games for Wednesday this season, contributing to 18 goals with eight strikes and 10 assists to his name.

Bannan is shortlisted alongside Rotherham forward Michael Smith and MK Dons midfielder Scott Twine.

The winner will be announced during the EFL’s annual awards night on Sunday 24 April.

Well deserved, Baz!
