HoylandOwl Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 While our keeper didn't get things right and, owned up, last weekend for his mistakes. It's quite telling that no one is near him when it comes to clean sheets so far this season. Credit where credit is due IMO. And I really rate him. He's much better than I thought he'd be, while his tendency to play out isn't just his decision, and it does make people nervous. It doesn't very often cause us massive problems and the ball more often than not gets to its intended target. I never really thought of him as a quality keeper in the past, but it does make me wonder if he hadn't been stiffed like he did at Brum then how good could he have been in what is arguably at the peak of a keeper's powers. (Around 31/32 IIRC) Similar things could have been said about the other bloke in joint second on that list with us! lea Quote

owl71 Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 11 clean sheets. Not bad for a fat old man, which is what many of our idiot fans decided he was after one game. 🙄 1 Quote
