I don't want to be negative but they score goals for fun.  They will just have too much for us and I can't see anything but them winning 3-0.  Being more positive, we don't need this result, anything we do get is a bonus.

Poveda alone means we'll give them much more of a game than Leeds. 6/4 for us to win or draw is a good bet IMO

I will stick with my first answer from April 1989, about 24 hours post the disaster that the stand should be levelled.

I wasn't that clever then to be saying that if we don't then in 35 years time this would still be a prime topic of conversation. But that is the reality. Whilst ever there is a living monument to a disaster it will raise awareness.

They rebuilt Kings Cross Station. Clearly if there was a fire again it would be news, but it is not the same place.

    The West Stand basically is.

West stand is irrelevant. Hillsborough is their issue not that end.

I agree. During my time watching Wednesday there have been odd occasions where the atmosphere has been incredible (Kaiserslautern, Chelsea semi, Wycombe, Peterborough, Brighton and such) but on the whole, we are a set of fans that is largely motivated to sing or cheer at home by the actions of those on the pitch. I don’t believe the atmosphere has changed much throughout my 40 years watching.

Was about to post the same. Think you could say the same about most home atmospheres though unless its a big game. When I used to go away every week can't recall many home atmospheres that were amazing

IIRC, when we’ve had such a short window in the past, after ‘outcry’ it was extended.

I totally get it's a short window, but there was an aborted window a few weeks ago. It's not like people didn't know season tickets were going to be imminent. I know people are skint after Christmas, but there's a 10 month option if you can't pay it up front

  5. Renewed mine on the North. The price of everything is going up, not just football. If you can't afford one or don't want to pay what you think is an unreasonable price fair enough. Organising a protest about it just makes you look like a spoilt twat though. Fortunately they still seem very much in the minority

I can see both sides of the season ticket thing. The club / Chansiri can certainly be rightly accused of being tone deaf in the pricing and the way they announce it.

But on the other side I struggle that some fans don’t see the relationship between ticket prices and being able to cover our costs. They expect Chansiri to keep putting his hand in his pocket to subsidise everything. Wanting a successful team as long as someone else pays for it.

But then you compare prices with other teams in the league and ask how they manage but we can’t. It’s a bit of a conundrum.

Re Chansiri funding the club. Its been said he's putting in £2m a month to keep us going. Is this normal for a Championship club without parachute payments?

What makes you think that. He won't want to drop to that level, get better offers.

I actually think a season at that level with a re-shaped squad and him in charge, I would be optimistic of top 6 spot, indeed promotion and thereafter a fighting chance of being competitive at this level

The thing is we've been here before. Three times. "We can rebuild in L1 and start again". Struggling to think of a similar sized club that's been in the third tier and had the chance to refresh things as often as we have. Staying up this season is imperative. Go down again and I think we're looking at 12 to 15,000 most home games

How long before they are all broadcast live, one at a time?

    Saturday kick off at 11:00, 1:00, 5:30, 7:30
    Sunday kick off at 12:00, 2:00, 4:00, 6:00
One each Friday and Monday evening.

Leaves Saturday 3pm free for the rest of us.

It’ll need the FA to stand up to the EPL to keep Sat 3pm free from live TV though, but I don’t think they’ve got the wherewithal to do that.

When every PL game was televised during covid I fully expected it to continue once fans were allowed back in
