A question to season ticket holders out there...

How would you feel if the club adopted a philosophy that in the week run up to any game sold tickets for whatever got people in?

Fill the ground, hopefully more atmosphere which should impact the players.

Whats the point in having empty seats, lost revenue right there.

I completely respect ST holders commiting their hard earned but looking at it from a basics perspective fill the ground, kids offers, the future fans, concourse spends, would you agree that yes maybe some random people have got in for that match for less than your average per match cost, could you live with it as part of the long term vision of maxing revenue.

IMO it's unsettling DM going but as has been said he could have been gone in October. Bottom line for me is that we probably do need new ownership, with a proper set up, yes some coin, but the structure is key. Today for instance what football people are actually in the building that will be part of the first team set up moving forward?

Spot on this is. You could look at it from another, critical, viewpoint. We've brought only a handful through to the first team over a prolonged period. It's been said by others on other posts, the academy hasnt been pulling up trees and producing quality for many years. 

The fact that no gems other than Vardy, even though he was a long burn after we let him go, is positive in some respects as there are no what ifs.

The game wasn't 'thrown' those fellas said that going to Ipswich wasn't easy so to speak. They seem to have been exploited by the undercover stuff going on at the time. The manager had no suspicions at all from the three of them and I know that first hand. 

They were hung out, arguably unfairly given what's dished out now, that said it was a very different era back then!

So I'm in Crete, went to Rethymnon today, had lunch at a nice bar on the front. The Mrs without her specs on points out a placque on the wall a couple of foot to my right. Oh this is Micks corner she says, I glance and FFS so it is, in red, 1889, the crest. Blunts. I get a bit queezy, share my thoughts, she tells me to get a grip, she has a point. I am however In blue and white but not the kit. She says I hope Mick doesn't want to sit in his corner, couldn't give a fuck I respond. 

Anyway the very pleasant Greek guy who took our order in normal attire then reappears in those bacon stripes, I had to go and pay him, proper Greek, broken English, I actually respected him somewhat, whatd the story etc etc.

I told him to keep the change, usual ten per cent or so, it's what you do isn't it, he said it was too much, fucking 4 euros mate I thought, he tried to palm off 2 shots of ouzo as a call it quits. No thanks fella it's 2pm.

I then said Sheffield United then...he replied yes. I just responded I'm Wednesday..he laughed in a nice way to be fair, we then left and I've only just got over the 4 euro tip.

Any similar stories out there fellas from your travels?
