  1. I really like both what DR says and his demeanour in his interviews. Very solid body language and a very steely stare, the journos won't be catching him out that's for sure!

Agree re his comments after the Fletcher question and yes I think he will be sending a lot of loanees back if he can. He will already know which players that could apply to so plenty of time to line up what I am sure will be improvements.

  2. To use the Ramsey analogy in the poor performing restaurants hotels....

Yep, miss managed for years and deliberately serve up shit food to the guy coming into help you.

Tantrums, some leave then come back because an arm has but around the shoulders.

THEN, ok I'm Gordon Ramsay with in the scheme of things a few dollar. I know this industry, simplify your menu and do it right, every time, with, largely the same chefs and oh by the way, we will invest into what your front of house looks like.

It's largely a poor comparison to a football club but if you put better systems in place, people buy into what you aim to do then a force can be generated.

Wednesday will take time, no doubt about it, but I am convinced that by the end of October a shift forward will be clear to see.

  3. I met him a couple of times, very decent guy with a unique sense of fun. Was a firefighter as a career iirc, it seemed he had a lovely bond with Hollie of all things Wednesday, as has been said he's in a lot of media pics, perhaps due to his front of kop seat but more likely his outpouring of love for his club.

    Fight hard Beastie.

Not forgetting also that the players weren't paid 3 months of that season

November, March and April. Given no payment of wages, it wasn't a surprise to hear post season that it wasn't a nice place to be at, the club that was.

A fair point, which, if I'm honest I'd forgotten so that holds more weight than the 'table'

On the other hand, if it had been me looking at the table, I would have been trying my best to turn it around.

I can honestly say, I would have tried my best to turn it around, personal pride wouldn't let me do otherwise, even on the opposite side of the city, like a true professional like Gregory has done for us.

And if it were me Mal I would have done also. Without question.

They could have kept the deduction at twelve and that team "should" not have got relegated.

For me the relegation was solely down to the players, or should I say some players.

I largely agree, although potentially the negative impact on the players looking at the table potentially added pressure, a situation we are clearly in again.

  7. I maybe clutching at straws but I hope NT has had enough time to instill a change of approach.

Let's not forget pro players at our level 'know their onions largely' the dressing room is key, always has been and always will be, the team ethic and message has to align between coaches etc and players, much like any other walk in life.

I'm hopefully positive that NT can replicate some of what he achieved last time he was stand in.

    2-0 Wednesday.

  8. He may still be favorite and some apparent quotes from him re the Wednesday job.

For me I just can't see Colin taking it even if offered. I am sure that very quickly him and DC would clash.

Colins record speaks for itself but he's a blunt through and through, just wouldn't work and I can see chaos should he get the job.

Personally I reckon he just fancies being offered it and knocking it back.

He's in his 70s he REALLY doesn't need the hassle.

  9. Thankfully he's gone.

Thompson has 2 days not long but surely the players will be equally as glad as us fans. They need a change of voice that doesnt use situation every half a dozen words.

As has been said he's likely to go round pegs round holes.

The crowd will be up for it hopefully and hopefully the first win comes Saturday, if that happens we are very likely to be 'only' 5 points from safety with plenty of games and a LOT of teams within reach given a reasonable run of results

  10. We go again Tuesday.

Does anyone actually believe we will get anything at west brom. I don't. Now 53 like others I've not seen anything like this, I just think we will ship at least 3 but of course hope this is the turning point and we scrape a 1 nil. Can't see it happening. The situation of the situation we are in, working with situations we are working on to deliver better in game  situations that may result in a more positive situation for the team to ultimately put us all in a better situation.

    WTF.

    He's got go Wednesday.

It's all still a bit baffling. The only explanation is that this was them "look at me I did this at the game" to appear edgy in private chat groups or summat and it's leaked out.

The first thread on Stalk suggested they were known for that type of activity

Your last sentence is 'interesting' and again if true still brings me back to why?? for the same reasons I stated previously.

That said if this fella has done that, to be a look at me/edgy/fool then he's due all that he gets.

As you say Kev, it's bizarre

Police have charged the older brother with the offence.

    Due in court tomorrow.

If I am understanding this, it was probably photoshopped but by them and then displayed post match but not taken from the game itself.

    Frankly bizarre and seriously twisted.

If true, you just have to ask why?

By that I mean the image used and implicating himself by his own actions.

I presume, the SYP IT boys have 'seen' the evidence trail on the guys phone.

  13. That's such a poor interview from Xisco. I was working and didn't watch but from all that's been said, a game of 2 halves and slightly worse than us on paper and away from home middlesbrough (carrick) managed to regroup and see a way to get right back into the game.

Change required I think, yet that could cause an issue, I fear for us now, recruitment looks poor and we seem to have no goal threat.
