Bit of a non-reference to us that though, confidence issue due to Middlesbrough. Misleading article headline

Always pretended to be Bryan Robson or Gary Lineker in the school playground on account of their prowess for England in the mid-late 80s.
Randoms I always liked were Rinat Dasaev, Dejan Savicevic, Jean Pierre Papin

That Ben Purrington we were supposedly after has joined Ross County. Must be a quality player!

Having a blackout kit is a bit ironic given the power company shirt sponsor 😂
Naff as well.

Sounds like a level headed bloke!
Richie and Hammy who were both conditioned as Owls in their formative years of course. Wonder if the Toytown idiots even realise.

Aren't his SportsDirect headquarters and main warehouse depots in Shirebrook, Derbyshire also?
Despite being an immoral snidey see you next tuesday you can't fault his business sense.

Appears to be a very level headed kid who will be a good role model for the young fans too!

Best keeper in the division - signed
Defender with the most clearances and blocks in the division - signed
Defender from by far the meanest defence in the division - signed
Top striker who had the second highest number of shots on goal in the division (117, by contrast Gregory had 72) - signed
Best RWB in the division, Hunty - re-signed
Cadamarteri - signed his pro deal
All in for the start of pre-season
We're having a reyt summer so far!!
Wilks plus a backup right wing back and 2-3 promising kids for the academy and we are looking rock solid.
Wouldn't mind taking advantage of Dawson's rise in stock by flogging him and bringing in a different keeper understudy also.
Agree with what KingMong said, Luongo is a quality player but injury prone now and therefore not worth the high wages.

In fairness a lot of this is the journalist's fault for asking lazy and thoughtless questions. It's not like CP is doing a blog/article and publishing it himself.
Ask a crap question, get an obvious answer.

Another to become tainted was Tony McMahon.
Paul Stancliffe, Wednesdayite who grew up around Hillsborough, released by us as a youth and went on to captain that lot.

DC doesn't know anything other than hard ball. It's the South East Asian business culture. Fair play to him, they've approached us. If they really want him they'll pay a bit more.

THEN.....
Prem Winners - Man City by a record total

Everyone is having a naff pink away kit these days it seems.
Why were Port Vale wearing white and gold in the playoff final too? Cringe

I know it's an age-old topic but finals decided by pens, had enough of them.
Euros, FA Cup, Europa, surely there has to be a better solution? Some way to de-centivise teams playing for pens.
Bring back replays?

Carbone is Assistant Manager of Azerbaijan

I'd like 2 experienced pro's, Ben Foster and Harlee Dean. Then young, hungry players with a point to prove and premier league kids on loan with a similar mindset please DC.

Jail time for that, surely

Kingy, you'd keep Paterson because of his versatility but you'd release Johnson, who grew into his defensive role and, since Christmas, has provided the most assists and 2nd assists and been one of our biggest attacking threats while playing in his more natural role?
Just on Paterson. He's become almost that Sunday league sub. The one who turns up one morning carrying his boots and says he plays anywhere then regularly does. He can't play centre back in a back 3. He can't really play wing back anymore and we'll bring at least two of those in to replace Shodipo and Corbeanu. We'll hopefully bring at least two forwards in so he doesn't fit as a forwards sub. If Luongo goes then he'll be replaced and we already have FDB and Adeniran on the books, plus Hunt if we don't release him or send him out again.
I'm struggling to find a place for him, to be honest.
But if Johnson isn't tied to the club for another year then he'll have no shortage of offers.
Sorry, that was a typo on Johnson, would definitely keep him! Probably our second best player this season.
I just think Paterson is a useful player, probably his best position as a target man of sorts either knocking defenders about late on or nicking a vital goal when required, which he's done a few times previously. He's also great for the dressing room and apparently the most popular bloke in the squad so good for team culture and spirit etc.

Out of Contract:
Luongo - will be off
Berahino - 12 month deal
Paterson - new deal, valuable as a Utility Player and Plan B
Jack Hunt - new deal
Palmer - nice bloke but has cost us numerous goals this season, release
Dunkley - release
Hutchinson - new deal
Wildsmith - release
Sow (?) - release
NML (?) - new deal
Johnson (?) - release
Expired Loans:
BPF - try and buy
Dean - sign
Gibson - release
Shodipo - release
Kamberi - 12 month deal as a squad player
Storey - another loan or try and buy if he can't break into Preston's team
John Jules - release

There is absolutely no way we should be changing manager. I think people underestimate the size of the task in turning the club around and rebuilding foundations from the predicament we have been in. Like steering a bloody Oil tanker!
Good times are coming.
Up the Owls!

Luongo will be off to Celtic, their manager had him as his main man when he was boss of the Socceroos.
Hope he does stay mind, excellent player.
Ex Owl backroom staff member jumps ship AGAIN.
