Fucking soft free kick, typical

Darling should be off, went in with an elbow on Dunkley

Ref starting to give them soft decisions now, doesn’t bode well.

‘For Christ’s sake Jimmy, how many times have I told you, you flame grill the burger before you put it in the fucking bun’

Could be bad news for Cheltenham that. Would be amazed if Duff wasn’t high on their list.

Not the biggest shock result in our history but I did enjoy the win at Villa Park in the League Cup in 01-02. A lovely pass from Donnelly for Ekoku to score and there was a really good atmosphere in the away section that night.
I seem to recall Villa had some decent players in the team, including Schmeichel and Ginola, but thankfully also Bosko Balaban up front.
I found someone’s phone on the way out and managed to get it back to them before they left for Sheffield so a good deed done as well.

You need to up your charge out rate.

I think it’s only fair that mk should start the match thread given that I had to start the Cheltenham one. Worked on that occasion as well.

Also recall the Nigeria game where the band walked down the steps past my sent. I said ‘up the Owls’ and they looked daggers at me.

Not that bothered about England these days but went to Japan in 2002 and saw four games including the quarter final against Brazil. Was a great experience and thankfully was too far for most of the nobheads to travel.

He’s a genuinely nasty piece of work who doesn’t deserve the bafflingly positive image the football media has granted him.

And on that note I’m sure Mark Robins scored for us against Swindon

You could extend this a bit with some lateral thinking, for example
Jack Lester v Leicester
Chris Eagles v Palace
Dave Canary v Norwich
(OK I might have made one of those up)

I think there is a bias, but not necessarily a conscious one. I think refs are so keen to show they are not being influenced by the ‘big’ team and players that they end up going too far the other way.
Also, we get sucked into the time wasting tactics of many of our opponents and maybe rush to get the ball back when we’ve lost it, allowing them the chance to fall over at the slightest touch.

I can let you know, but it won't be until tomorrow, if you can wait that long 😀
That would be good, I don’t have the yellow card stats.

Just done a quick tot up of our 21 league games at home this season.
Overall we have had 38 more free kicks given against us than for us. That is despite having the majority of possession in 15 of those games.
Make if it what you will but just thought it was an interesting stat.

That feels a bit like the Antonio goal against Carlisle in 2012.

I think in my 20 years as an Owlsonliner this is the most popular thread I have ever started.
And I wanted to reply to something to get myself off being a Warren Feeney.

Looks great Tee. Just need a few of us on here now.
And I’d just posted an amusing comment on the old site earlier so will never know if it got any laughs or not. Probably not.

Crewe are you - Match Thread

If Gregory had gone down then we’d have had a penalty and probably Crewe down to ten men. Too honest.
