Owling_Wolf
I saw that place recently when parking down there for a gig elsewhere. The old Matilda pub didn't look like it was still open.
MPB
The Matilda is shut but they already started work on doing it up just prior to the first lockdown, it's been shut over 15 years now.....you can just about peak inside and see that a new bar has been fitted and other carpentry work underway....the outside has also been painted and from what the guy who owns Industry Tap round the corner was telling us....theyre now working on the accommodation round the back of the Matilda and they're hoping to reopen later in the year......it's all part of the development of the Porter Brook river side from Decathlon to the Sidney St car park.... Apparently, Fatty Foulkes ran it when he retired...
