Gibson got misdiagnosed with an injury playing for Everton U18s and has never been the same since.

Interesting, I know a lad in their U23s and I reckon they made a mess of his injury recently. Their youth set up seems to be a bit all over the place at the moment.

Gibson looks a very decent player, hopefully the injuries are nearly behind him and he goes on to have a good career. Showed a lot of potential in the bits we've seen of him.

That looks a quality walk Pollhammer, how long is that?

As Owling says, around 80 miles or so. A lot of Riverside walking, and I presume some harder stretches, and some genuinely stunning sections. Plenty of great places to stay, Ilkley is a nice start, Burnsall, Grassington, Kettlewell, Dent, Sedburgh, as well as some hidden gems - I drive along it and love it, presume a fair bit depends on the weather - went through a fair range today. Some great pubs and B&Bs to stay at.

Apparently you have to dip your toe into Windermere to say you've done it.

The clubs transfer policy didn’t force him to ruin Kieran Lee’s career.

    Wanker.

This is one of the criticisms of Carvalhal I do accept, the approach to fitness training and the handling of injuries, particularly with Lee. I remember when he came back, loads had doubts, and in retrospect it completely did for him. It felt wrong at the time. Whether Carlos takes all the blame though, I'm not sure. He had a team of physios / doctors advising him surely.

How Lee conducted himself afterwards, and particularly during lockdown when his contract was running down, risking a potential career ending injury to give his all, means I will always hold him in the highest regard - unlike Reach and Fletcher.

Overall last night's results were as good as we could have hoped for. Morecambe did us a huge favour, and I would rather have Rotherham in the play offs than MK Dons, even though I will hate it if they go up. Still 4 teams battling for those last 2 spots pretty much, and anything could still happen I suppose.

Genuinely exciting run in for the teams involved.

Finished the Reacher series last night. Think AndyBen and Reesh both recommended it.

Thought it was good, maybe a little cheesy, but enjoyed the storyline. Will definitely be giving the books a go at some point.

Off subject, went to post this earlier but got distracted and didn’t post. Just come back on looking at other threads, gone to create a new thread again and it was here waiting for me with a message saying it’s been restored. Nice feature that should hopefully stop folk losing posts.

I'm a big Reacher fan, collected all the books after I stumbled across the first. Some are a bit hit and miss, but I would definitely recommend them.

I haven't particularly enjoyed any of the films, Tom Cruise was all wrong, quite enjoying the series though. Still not quite got the Reacher right though imo.
