Danny R and I share a birthday tomorrow, albeit 52 years apart, and today's result (and PERFORMANCE) will keep the silly grin on my face even if I don't get any presents.

Wednesday will win on Saturday and Huddersfield and Birmingham will draw. I don't care what happens after that and it'll be a happy stress-free trip to the Stadium of Light for the lads making the trip.

I'm coming to this one, albeit in the away fans' end (soz), with my nipper and my great grandson. The young 'un is a big Norwich fan and as he predicted the correct score at Carrow Road I'm counting on the mighty owls to wipe the smile of his face.

I would expect AC Milan to hoik Vasquez back and loan him elsewhere as he's not getting any game time here.

Although I'd never heard of this guy before we took him on, I thought he'd be decent as his record at Watford wasn't too bad and he seemed to have been a little hard done by to get the sack there. However he does seem totally clueless but what annoys me even more is that when any valid point is put to him in interviews he just shrugs as if to say "So what? I'll still get paid at the end of the month."   Not for much longer though I hope.

DM's team selections were puzzling at times but XM's are even more bizarre. What price Dawson in goal on Tuesday?

Were the penalty saves poor penalties easily saved or good saves by Vasquez?

I know we only saw  him for 20 minutes but Fletcher didn't strike me as giving us the pace we need up front.

I remember that Blackpool game although I was only six and  I didn't go but I remember crying all the way home on the tram from my gran's.  Didn't see my first game for two years after that, just after the war and that was a charity match of some sort I think.  The only thing I remember about it was that Derek Goodfellow was in goal.

I wonder if Ken and I ever stood next to each other on the wall behind the Kop goal.
