Another good one, cheers for sharing.

Probably well known that Red Rum is Murder backwards.

In the year Red Rum won its 3rd Grand National, 1977, Seattle Slew (to violently kill) won the Triple Crown Stateside.

    Weird synch's at work.

The band chose their name after watching The Shining.

They are my favourite band and with having a trumpet to the fore have some cracking intros.

  2. Was speaking to a Mackem work colleague at our Durham site yesterday and he says we are nailed on for a win with how they have performed since they got rid of Mowbrey.  Said they have a lot of younger players in the team not ready for the Championship and they can't score, defend or create anything !  So 3-0 to Sunderland then.

He likes Wednesday so said he was happy for Luke O'Nien to play in goal on Saturday.

My biggest issue is the genuine fans who didn't renew in phase because they listened to the 'we're the next Reading', 'we're going bust next year so you'll lose your money' and the 'if you buy, you're killing the club'.

I do believe that a large portion of their support has good intentions and think they're doing the right thing, but have been gaslighted into thinking the way they do by more cynical folk with a personal agenda.

This took the biscuit along with the attacks re using PayPal which for me was for something that worked excellently at spreading the cost of 3 season tickets across 4 months.

Hope he celebrates his 50th birthday as SWFC manager!

Sheffield Wednesday Manager Danny Rohl celebrates his 50th Birthday in style as the Owls reach the Chamions League final by beating Barcelona at the Camp Nou with a last minute winner from 17 year old wonder kid Wilf Bannan, with an assist from his Dad Barry.

  5. Couple of alternative stand out moments from yesterday.

Firstly on 95 minutes the immense Will Vaulks throwing himself into a block like his life depended on it.

Secondly Musaba during the lap of appreciation trying to find his family to come onto the pitch.  They were located in the South and brought down and his face and theirs was such a joy.  Made me feel a tad emotional for a moment.  Shows what this bloody club can do to you.

  6. Hear Barry Hearn has been putting noises out that The Crucible is too small and Sheffield Council have to think about future offerings when the contract is up in 2027.

Time to build a multi use venue in the City Centre where Cole Brothers is.  Make it 4000 capacity and can cater for gigs and also have layout amended for the snooker.

    * Funnily enough same as what I put above 2 years ago !

Reading their forum, the entitled *****, there are countless posters suggesting Worthington didn't want the top job, much like Neil Thompson at ours who will step up and step in if needed.

Lot of mileage in this for stop gap Academy / Reserve Coaches.   Why run the risk of a more or less security of job for a possible few month stint in the top job only to be bulleted !

you're not funding DC you absolute Whoppa, you're paying to watch the team you allegedly support.

Course he is trousering all the money.  Only costs pennies doesn't it to fund a Championship team.
