Just got back home. Up seeing family before Christmas and thought I'd catch the game.
Amazing finish to the match. Made for a happy drive home. Now for safety 👍😁🍻

They've just said in the stream, that David Pleat had a chance to re-sign Roland Nillson but he (Pleat) said that he wouldn't have the legs, so that's why he signed for Big Ron at Coventry.....
Jesus...
Didn't he play till he was 38 or something?.... legs definitely gone....😒

Wayne Rooney leaves DC United after 15 months in charge.

Jan, Feb he looked gone and off to Scotland. Since then he's a vital player, wherever that might be.
And he needs his own fishing show 😁👍

Stop the season now. We're mid table, Leeds bottom half. Huddersfield, Hull and Boro down.😁

I'm absolutely gutted. As Bells said, first player to play for Wednesday who was younger than me.
RIP Bartman.😥

Our season starts on the 12th August against Hull.
The Southampton game is a free pass. Against a team worth (on paper) around £100m we could field the Wembley side and if we don't get gubbed by more than 2 then I'd take that as job done. We could also produce a Newcastle-esque performance and catch them cold.
Not bothered about the League Cup so the kids that are playing pre-season can run out in that one.
Hull are potentially in the same boat we are, finances and transfer wise, and I'd be looking for parity in that game.
Down here the locals are sh@ting themselves. The team was poor last year, half want to leave and they are worried we are running with form and will gub them.

Once highly rated. England Youth International.
Played in the Premier League.
Ended up in the lower divisions.
Still at Wednesday.

What the fuck's Tom Kerridge doing co commentating?
Thank god it's not just me. Driving home from work trying to think who it was. His voice is identical. 👍

Bournemouth wouldn’t be there if they hadn’t ‘bent’ the rules.
Damm right🤬

Bit of needle in that post…..
Don’t blame you though. 🤣
There is really. It just pisses me off that a tin pot outfit like Bournemouth are in the top flight and we are getting a point against Oxford. Even worse is working with their fans who a few years ago would rather admitted to going dogging at the weekend than say they were at the game. Now there are kids out there who have heard of Bournemouth and not of Wednesday 'cos we've been shit for so long.
Sorry rant over.

First time I’ve ever heard them referred to as “AFCB” unless that’s what pook calls them
Oh they love their AFC bit. Pre season they printed Premier League tables with them top. Alphabetical order🙄.
"AFC Bournemouth, we're top of the table"
This was a pre season chant. They lost 1-0 to Bristol City. I'm not sure they saw the irony 🤣🤣

He should have tried for sponsorship.
"Ivan Toney charged with Bet365 betting breaches" would have helped pay his lawyers fees

You wouldn't be if you'd have been stood near to their infantile fans at the end, pal. Absolute wankers of the 'aggressive pointing' sub-species. I'm sat in the window coach seat, I'm 69 and probably look it, and one of their juvenile planks has just repeatedly offered me out in the street. Until a copper made alternative suggestions to him. 🙄
Yeah, i agree, though they also threw coins. One landed at my feet right in front of a steward. He saw it but nothing was done.

Are there still tickets on sale tonight?

Can't argue with that apart from Thome for Gardner or even Pearson.

Who, Sinton? Think it was Match magazine said he was the missing link and tipped us to win the league after we signed him
90 minutes I thought, but you're right that we were thought as Premier League contenders with Sinton added.

When I moved away from Yorkshire I ended up in Bournemouth for a while in the late 90's. Harry had moved to South Today at that point and it was great to hear a proper accent on the telly.
His best moment was when they read out the cricket results one evening and Yorkshire had hammered Hampshire. Everyone on the show was saying it was a shame and Harry just sat their with a huge grin 😁. He then just muttered, "As it should be". Good old boy

Doubly so as it was the youngest sons first home game since becoming an Owl. He's tried a couple of clubs (down south) but Saints away last season changed him to Wednesday.
He's still buzzing today😁😁😁😁😁 (So am I actually 😁😁😁😁👍)
