Very under appreciated when looking back. His era was such a great time to be an Owl. Brought in some great players (apart from Sinton & Woods) and had us playing some fantastic football. Will we ever see those days again?
RIP Tricky

He nearly fucked up that header v Bristol City though from 2 yards out.
Like KM says though he got the sack for finishing 13th in the Premier League. You would get a statue these days !
Announced on cup final day, though Alan Biggs tweeted (is that now X'd) about the impromptu leaving party with the local journos before it was officially announced
Saw that today on a highlights. Very much like his Euro Cup winning goal. He did it on purpose

Company's fold all the time without being dodgy.
I accept Land of Fire was a bit nutty, but even then I think MM and even Mamadov were under the impression it was happening until it wasn't. Bigger clubs than us were reeled in by that one.
Never said they were dodgy

So that's three companies then in what 40 years? Just one after the other isn't it?
Be more than 3 isn't it?
Crosby Kitchens, Finlux, Sanderson, VT Plastics, Elev8...

Don't know what Moore was on at Wednesday but at Donny he matched the highest player wage which was about £8k. I would imagine we paid him more.
4x8 would £32k a week. As a comparison Schumacher has just had a pay rise to around £13-15k to match their player wage ceiling cap. The rumours are Warnock is on around £30k with a load of bonuses.
Is he still at that fiddle?

Notice the ***** with the drum and trumpet rolled up to ruin another sport.
Despise those twats. They're like uncle Albert, we were doing well until they appeared

2 games ago most of the ones hailing Moore as the new Pep wanted him gone.
Would he have even got that far if they were in charge after Forest Green away?
We had an unbelievable few weeks but in all honesty we should've had the title. Would any of us trust him fully with bagfulls of money? How many times as he had a lack of plan B?
DC gets the stick but he backs his managers as far as he can. Maybe not as financially as some would like but they get the time. A shame that he picks randoms.

The reason I asked is I've got a grunter claiming we did it to cover some dodgy financial dealings and that the original club (in principle) no longer exists.
Another obsessive pig with bollocks "facts", there's a surprise!
Ask him about how they were founded and where they got their nickname from. Their history is our history. Always in our shadow.
Promoted to Premier League but their obsession is us. The pigs are a strange breed.

In the 70s I worked with a guy that played semi pro for Boston FC.
If they were ever on the coupon, he couldn't even do the pools.
He should've waited a bit longer until the corrupt fat lad turned up a few yrs later

Used to do a bit of body boarding up Scarbro, he was there many a time. Knew his face from Enders (never watched it honest). We always exchanged a few nods as he'd spotted the owl on my board and towel.
Left him to it as he was just up there to escape the limelight and drooling lasses.

Spoke to a former Barnsley player today who lives on my round
Said he spoke the Peterborough assistant manager (another ex Barnsley player) the night after in the golf club. Asked if they turned up thinking they were through, He said none of the staff did but they felt they couldn't get it through to the players who he thinks had the wrong mindset.
He asked why they kept JCH on when he'd been atrocious - "for the penalty shoot out"
Not the coaches fault, it's the players.
Whereas on our side it was the coaches that changed the mentality

Call me biased cos I am but absolutely no club in this country would come close to our fans after 22 years of mainly dross. I actually don’t want prem football until the ridiculous financial bubble has burst.
Daft second sentence that. I'd rather Wednesday have some of the cash before it pops. We fell out of it before the money came in, be just our luck to get there and its gone.
