  1. A devastating loss. Used to have regular contact with him and meet at away games and stuff. The old chat room on Rivals during a Wednesday match holds fond memories for me.

An extremely funny, caring man. So full of love and kindness to give.

Last time I saw him was at Burton in April and he was in top form. Little did we know what was around the corner.

Thoughts are with Hollie and the rest of his family. I only know Hollie from his family and to see her appearance at PNE tells you everything you need to know about the character and resilience of the girl. It would have been so east to avoid the emotion of being there and the silence before must have been heart wrenching for her. Incredible spirit.

    RIP Steve

Got them into the play offs as I recall, but not sure if that was his work or building on someone else's?!

His experience at Gillingham ticks a lot of boxes, he was able to work with Scally and saved them from almost certain relegation last season.

Have a look where they were when he took over. He didn't save them last season, he barely got them out of the predicament he put them in.

Without wanting to ridicule your suggestion, Harris would be a scandalous appointment.

I respect your opinions and you have defended him, but I genuinely fail to grasp why you consider Chansiri continuing to be our owner will lead to a good outcome.

The fact he has thrown his toys out the pram should be ample evidence of this.

I totally get without his money we are fucked.

I totally get that the protest groups need to justify their actions by bringing a new investor to the table

But I simply think it is equally delusional to look back over the 8 years plus of his ownership and conclude we are in a better place on the pitch despite the millions wasted. I refuse to use the word invest.

To fear for the future without him I totally understand. But I fear for our future with him.

Sometimes, like Sunderland did, more prominent like Luton did, we need to take a hit on the chin now.

Absolutely spot on with every post you've made in the last 24 hours.

It’s how toxic this debate gets towards the club that’s bothering me pal.

There’s hardly a queue of people willing to put there money we’re there mouth is to buy DC out and fir me he’s the best chairman we’ve had in a generation.

    give it time ffs.

He doesn't really have much competition for that accolade, does he?

If what we've been told on here is true about a 'brochure' being circulated listing the club for sale, maybe he should be communicating this to the fans. If he was to say costs have been cut as he wants out and he wants to keep losses to a minimum while he's still here, fair enough.

The accounts were released and I thought, he's got us promoted against the smallest loss in years - bravo, albeit the previous season's accounts. We didn't overdo it last summer though. To then spend next to nothing after promotion says to me he's just keeping us ticking along. It's not a change of strategy at all. It's an exit strategy.

What is a proper Wednesdayite ?

One that is supposed to accept crap year after year and say nothing but sit and have our bellies tickled.

Ones that see their loyalty exploited year on year.

Ones that would like to a semblance of a plan for player recruitment rather than stumbling around at the last minute

I don't profess that Moore was some messiah. He had plenty of weaknesses but it was a base to build from, some continuity, he was generally liked by the fans and the media.

It is interesting that the media wank as you describe it, is in fact that he was well liked, that he created positive PR for the club. Frankly I think the media see our stuggles as thoroughly deserved karma

Every Wednesday fan wants the best for the Club. The likes of you perceive that as simply giving 100% unrelenting support irrespective of the shit served up. Others see it more if you run the Club in the manner Chansiri does we are never going to progress but we are expected to pay top dollar at the same time

    Excellent post.

Because clubs in the PL don't need ticket monies to survive and get around FFP....

    It's that simple.

I understand all that. It seems the damage to football outside the PL cannot be undone.

What bothers me most is the next generation of Wednesday supporter. Live football is a sacred thing to me and thankfully I could find the money to pay and take my kids when it suits. Doesn't mean I will though. How many other kids will miss out on that or be taken somewhere else to experience it?

  7. I still cannot believe the EFL have not capped ticket prices at £30 like the PL.

How is it right that it costs £17 more to watch your team at Elland Road than it would do in the PL?

£40 for me on the North to see us more than likely lose to fucking Ipswich? Not for me, Dejphon.

I hope he's actively seeking a buyer and finds one sharpish.

For “SWFC” and “The Club” read The crook.

Silly people who smugly laugh at how the Premier League pigs are ran whilst we sit there like a fucking circus in a rust bucket we no longer own. He’s had our pants down and is laughing his fucking head off whilst waiting to sell the club/land for development.

Clubs best interest at heart, out Palmer is his place, shouldn’t have given in to DM’s demands.

The man could not give a flying fuck about anything to do with the fans and club other than it filling his wallet eventually. Business is business.

He's the only person willing to write a cheque for £13m a year to keep us afloat. Some hole in his wallet.

  9. Technically very poor but effort and commitment cannot be questioned. Not sure he's a mainstay in a top 6 side.

Played a part, albeit a small one in a promotion season for us so he goes with well wishes and hope he does well for you.

That's me done. I now officially have no faith whatever in this lot getting promoted. I can't believe what I'm seeing down there.  It's like a communal insanity has descended on the squad.
I hope we've already got enough points to be in the playoffs 'cos if we havent it will be  a bloody miracle if this load of bottlers get them. No bloody chance.

Fucking hell, Fred. Is that a reasoned conclusion or knee jerk? Very forthright from a usually very reserved poster.
