Might just be me, but statement seems very carefully put together with a general undertone that DM was trying to be greedy or that he's been influenced by his agent.

Chansiri will always look after the club and his investment which makes sense but the 'are you sure' and 'rethink very carefully' in particular looks more like saving face.

I could of course be completely wrong and talking utter tosh

Would be best for all concerned if he sold up and left. He has had a go but its not worked out whether he's been poorly advised or been stubborn in his choices.

Lets hope the interest in the club is genuine and he can look at getting us some fresh investment

Premier League clubs can sign up to four players who fail to meet the Home Office's requirements for visas, in new rules announced by the FA.

The old rules saw Premier League teams unable to sign any players who failed to meet the Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) points threshold.

That points total was based on the senior and youth international appearances for the incoming player, the quality of the selling club and the standard of league they come from, as well as the number of career minutes. 

Failure to meet that threshold meant the UK Government would block the transfer.

However, new rules have said that Premier League clubs can sign up to four players who fail to meet the standard. Championship clubs will also be allowed four players, while League One and League Two clubs get two of these signings. 

Dunno if Joao is out of contract at Reading but would he be worth taking back?

Could potentially be a can of worms, If you're betting on a game you can directly influence then it is a bit sus.

Although you'll not likely be able to convince an opponent to let one in... you can certainly instruct your team mates to just pass to you exclusively for a tickle on any goal scored.
