Kingys Ginger Mullet
Well Pope has blown his chance now then, it'll be Pickford in goal. Can't see how Maguire can be picked to start, his confidence has gone now that all the media and fans are on his back (understandably as he has been shit and is not good enough to play for a club like Man Utd, never mind captain them). What are the options at CB, Cody and Tarkowski? Having three Everton players in the back 5 does not sound good at all. Mings, Walker and Stones, all prone to clangers too. Dier is a nailed on starter now surely, not that he should be in the side ideally either. We need to go all out attack as we are looking crap at the back, which is incompatible with Southgate's approach really. I hope I'm very wrong but we'll not get beyond the quarters. HoylandOwl
Southgate would help himself if he picked players in form, like he did when he first got the job, rather than falling into the trap that all other England managers seem to do… By picking the usual suspects, even when there're miles out of form.
