A little frustrating.. We did well to get back into it and not give up, but Jamal Lowe should arguably have shot right at the death of extra time, he was through and for some reason cut back... Get your bloody shot away lad!

His pen.. Colin West would have been proud.

Gassama on 45+2 minutes. They're both second half players, fresh from the bench. OK, I know they haven't been starting all games but you have to look at the stats. Just no use pitching either against fresh championship defenders in my opinion. Bring either or both on in the second half when the oppo's defenders are breathing through their arses.

Tonight Coventry played a high line and should have been ripped to bits by either, but no, they weren't. They'll not both start next week, in fact neither should start at all. Ingelsson and Kobacki for me.

We got we deserved, nothing. I’m not too disappointed though, but never like losing.

The goal that they had disallowed near the end of the 90 Id be very unhappy about if it was ours, PC wasn’t fouled - that time anyway.

I can’t understand why Icky didn’t start, and thats not having a go at Otegbago. It’s IF and BUTs, but I don’t think we concede that 1st half goal because Icky won everything. 
The positive is we are way better than what we did against them last season and thats taking into account that I don’t think they are as good as they were last season.

I thought we got it spot on as an away side.

The ONLY thing that let us down was that little bit of cuteness when creating the overloads. I felt sorry for Gassama and Musaba in the first half because they were getting in behind time and time again to have the pass either go long or have them checking the run. Which was also hindered by the ball into Ugbo just not sticking.

It improved with Bannan and Windass coming on, but then, the issue became the final ball not being right.

Interesting comments from Rohl afterwards, it sounds like we have players ready to come in, and who want to come.

So, two creditable draws and we are out of both cups on pens, no disgrace there, in a better than expected position in the league poised to push on, the right additions in the pipeline, seemingly. I reckon DC is about to pull the proverbial ‘rabbit’ therefore can’t wait for the 15th. All systems go for the play off push. FWIW I’d start Gassama every game with Musaba as an impact sub 60-70 mins in 👍

Gassama certainly a starter for me injury/fatigue permitting  Last season Musaba was more effective. There will be occasions when Ròhl will play both; it just won't be every game. He knows what he's  doing. 

I do expect DC to back Danny re  transfers too.

Goal aside Musaba offered little imo and I was amazed it was Gassama who was hooked. Kobacki looked the business when he came on though.

Ref was fucking dreadful, fell all over himself to give penalties when we played Cardiff last season. Wasn't even giving fouls today...

We need to get to a point though where we aren't wasting 3 subs per game picking the side that should have started.

I think I’ve had a bit of an epiphany today for me I wasn’t nervous I did care but wasn’t bothered about the result. Spending all day with my kids having a laugh and having lunch and a drink. Being with all the other fans was just class today I don’t think I’ve ever been to an away match that we’ve lost and enjoyed it so much. Just proud to be a Wednesdayite today we are just a class above. Goodnight everyone 🫡💙💙💙🦉🦉🦉

Disappointed to go out but not the end of the world, as always penalties are just a lottery. 

Thought we played some nice stuff at times but let down in final third with players making wrong decisions.

Think you are being a bit harsh.

What he does do is get in very good positions but quite often doesn't make the right decision.  Probably still a bit overawed being in the team but think there is a player in there.

Yes I'd agree that he is not ready yet but pre-injury he was starting to show something. Röhl has recently stressed the problems relating to getting players fully match ready mid-season. It's  not just fitness either of course. Regaining confidence and touch more often than not takes time. I think Röhl rates him and along with his support team will phase him back appropriately.

Within realistic boundaries, optimism trumps pessimism every time for me. I think the word embarrassing gets bandied about inappropriately quite often too.

As mentioned already Kobacki was starting to show signs of growing as a player pre injury. I thought on Saturday it looked like he was back to his initial outings. Flashes of decent positioning, but final ball missing / rustiness. 

I think it’s harsh to jump on him, after such a spell out injured. But, suppose like SOME people jumped all Jamal Lowe, there’s got to be a fall guy it seems.
