Reesh Posted January 8 Posted January 8 For one of our site regulars @Laceups I'll let him explain why he's doing it https://sportsgiving.co.uk/sponsorship/entry/1389251?fbclid=IwY2xjawHrogJleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHcNUOQnNRECByLcrXll5SFvRrxxtUtb81G0c39OhgFBeFEhSmAVYOaQYYA_aem_j2H_IU5oOQG80pF3fXGhww 1 Quote
Laceups Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Wow, thanks Reesh for sticking it on here. Ben, you know the story mate and yes it’s heartbreaking and it still hurts everyday. Dean was a close friend of mine and he was killed by a lad who had been drinking all day before jumping in his work van and hitting Dean and his son Charlie as they walked home. That’s as much as I want to go into it cos it breaks my heart thinking about it. Dean was very well know throughout Jersey due to his work which involved getting people with disabilities back into employment. He worked tirelessly and lived and breathed his job. Today I was honored to be asked to be an ambassador for that company which i accepted and will work voluntarily to try and promote the charity as Dean would have wished. Any sponsorship is truly appreciated and I’ll try and get some photos up of the event when we do it. Thank you. 1 4 Quote

His poor Mrs lost her true love, her only child followed by her Dad who suffered a heart attack shortly after the heartbreak of losing his Grandson and to cap the year off her Mum passed at Xmas after battling with cancer. I genuinely don’t know how she’s kept going but she has a big group of fantastic loving friends but I’m certain it would break most of us. 4 Quote
Laceups Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Humbled by the donations. Thank you so much. It’s such an amazing charity and I know they will be so over the moon with the money we will raise for them. Quote
