Little bit of me thinking this may be one too many fatigue wise but may see a more similar setup to second half masterclass at Boro.

I'll go for a hard-fought 2-0 win for The Wednesday all the same.

We just need 15 mins at high tempo. There’s not much wrong with the performance, although Johnson’s distribution from wide has not been great and the back three distribution has not been great into the forwards.

If we score early, we win. We just need some high tempo.

Iorfa has been clumsy throughout the half so hopefully he can pick it up in the second half

Certainly less drama as requested in the thread title. More solid, aside from never looking great against balls into the box, but lacking any oomph going forward. Preston are solid at the back as well so it's going to need something different. Pitch not great not helping

Gassama lost the ball trying to break yes, but that is rank defending/decision making by Iorfa.

Iorfa & Johnson have been woeful today, Valentin hasn’t been in the game at all and every one else has been bang average other than Windass having a good second half.

We’ve not had the rub of the green either which hasn’t helped and Storey has won everything for them all game. 

One of those days I think where nothing has really come off for us and on another day we beat these comfortably

They’ve done a very good job of defending in front of them. They pretty much play a back five and they sit very very deep so the three centre backs don’t have to move about too much, and they also force you to cross from 20 yards, which if you ask any centre half, is a lot easier to defend.

They way we play, our three defenders play the width of the pitch which does open us up.

But… we are short at centre half without Bernard and Famewo. We don’t need much in Jan, two defenders, a wing back and a striker and to keep Shea Charles.

Just on today. We created a lot, but we got punished for bad defending for the first, a brainless moment from Gassama and Iorfa and you could blame pretty much three players for the third.

Not disappointed because we are so threatening, but we need to tighten up and learn the choke games a bit. Which is what we did in the first half.

By the way. Bannan and Windass were excellent today.
