FFS, been waiting all day for this. I understand it's Christmas Day but no excuse really. Anyway, back on topic. Will Kobacki make the squad? What about Ihiekwe, he must be due a start now as we're getting a bit thin on the ground or will Otegbayo get another go, need another performance from big Dom again, and he can do it.

I'd go.

                 Beadle

    Valery, Iorfa, Otegbayo, Lowe.

Gassama, Charles, Bannan, Johnson\

             Windass.

                          Ugbo.

I reckon Olaf will be back involved in some way…. Probably sub. Danny doesn’t tend to chuck folks back in straight away and with three games in just over a week.. he’ll likely get a chance to start

I see they’ve got Seny Dieng, Luke Ayling and Aidan Morris all missing. But, of course we haven’t got Di’shon either and with Latte Latth seemingly scoring for fun, hes going to be a test for those at the back

Just been looking at the officials….

Ref: ANTHONY BACKHOUSE
Assistants: Jonathan Hunt and Matthew McGrath

Last time we had him was Bristol City (a)

He’s not been ‘card free’ in a game this season, but he’s not sent many off either so, hopefully that’ll be the case when he’s considering our decisions today!

The game up there last season was one of the poorest under Rohl. Not a happy hunting ground for us, but neither was Pride Park so hopefully we can exorcise another ghost

A draw would be a good outcome

Always a tough place to go for us. Unless we had Nuhiu anyway. It would be a huge statement if we got a result there today and it would be nice to ruin Gibsons Christmas

We ruined his nephews pre Christmas last saturday

This isn’t really surprising.  We’ve come up a little short against all the top sides this season.  Additions to the squad are still needed to be genuine top six contenders.  The most obvious is we need experience and organisation at the back, or at least someone who brings those qualities to the table while being a better footballer than Ihekwe.

I still think Rohl believes our players are better than they are against the better teams

Let's be honest.

We've been given a total footballing lesson here, on & off the ball.

1 touch 2 touch, touch & go and we're in total no mans land, theyve run the game from minute 1, at times it's been joyous to watch, just a shame it's not Wednesday showcasing what we can do.

I think Otegbayo needs to be pulled, stick Iorfa in the middle, push Valery next to him & bring Pol on.

I'd pull Lowe, bring on Inglesson & let him make runs from deep, for me, it's now damage control, we manage to nick 1 possibly 2 I'll be thrilled but I have to say Middlesbrough are the best team bar non I've watched this season.

Danny Danny Röhl. Danny Danny Röhl

I think his team selection really does not help in these games. He wants to match teams in a football game, credit for that, but when they do not have to earn the right to play and they simply have better players and with our players have that ability to sink into their shells.

Simply play 3 in frigging midfield and make it tougher for them, perhaps open it up later on

They have so much pace in the full back, and wide positions. And they move the ball, one touch at pace.

That said, poor defending for all three. The young lad has been caught out of position for two of them, and they are really pressing him, Iorfa and Valery (Valery has been dreadful).

We need an extra body in midfield, especially as the 10 drops off for them.

I’d be hooking Valery for Pol, Lowe for Smith and Gassama for Chalobah.

Well a bloody horrific first half for a number of reasons. Shows the difference in the squad, in particular in the middle of the park where the passing and movement of them, is far superior to ours. I'm not a Bannan basher, per se, but off the ball today he's been awful so far across the half.

When we were looking at the 8 game run up to Derby home and how many points we’d amass, I’d got this down as a home win, still think we’ll get 4 points from the next two 👍

Thing is they are over run. We can see it why can't Rohl. Very similar to last seasons game there
