Your player of the season so far!

As we’re heading towards the halfway stage of the season, I just thought I’d ask who you thought was your player of the season as things stand…?

Theres a few candidates I’d say… but… let’s read your thoughts and reasons why…

Beadle for me, he's kept us in tight games we've got points from, example being we'd have likely got nothing from the last two.

Much like our team performances, all individuals have had frequent ups and downs. Each month’s player of the month consideration has seen few standouts. 
So for the season so far…

 it’s difficult to find a forward player challenging for PotS so far, although Smith has done reasonably well when used.

midfield? Bannan has been ok, but had some shockers too. Charles quietly efficient, and consistent.

wing back, winger? Pol looks good, but as a sub. Johnson: some sublime crosses and runs. Suffers from being shoehorned into a fullback role. The rest flatter to deceive.

it’s difficult to find a defender challenging for PotS so far when we look like we’re going to concede at every set piece and counterattack. Max Lowe has impressed since replacing Famewo. And Famewo was beginning to look good too. 

And goalkeeper. Takes some responsibility for our set piece frailties, but has won us some points in recent games with outstanding saves.

So it’s between Beadle, Johnson and Charles, maybe Smith. Perhaps because his good performances are concentrated in the most recent games, I go for Beadle.

I think the reason we are midtable is because there are 4 or 5 candidates across the pitch that could take the plaudit.

We just need the 4 or 5 not playing to that standard to get closer to matching them.

But as I like my central midfielders then I will opt for Charles
