We need to be beating teams like this mind if our ambitious tilt towards that play off spot is to happen we know it is unlikely but to be in with a sniff is a huge turnaround in 12 months and could set up a good transfer window.

Reckon it'll be called off?

Not based on the fact when I took the dog out the surface water we saw yesterday was all but gone and the wind is drying out the grass less than half a mile from the ground.

Looking at the weather all over the place tomorrow there could be a few comedy goals around the country.

I'm going for a professional 2-0 win, get crosses onto Smith's head, keepers won't like the wind shifts crosses left right and centre

I've just looked at the Beeb's weather forecast specifically for Hillsborough: 48 hours of mostly light rain already started earlier.  50mph-ish winds starting pre-game and continuing into Sunday afternoon.

Not the worst, compared to other areas, but how the hell are you supposed to play football in it?

Exactly, patience and probably any sort of win spite of performance will do

Watching on TV so admittedly not seeing the full pitch but are we expecting Gassama to be be playing right wing back?

Cos we're getting raped down that side of the pitch. Why isn't Pol playing there?

Missing Bannan 👍

It's what happens when you play Palmerdinho in midfield.

Windass in the hole isn't working as we can't get the ball into him as much as we should be.

Looks like we’re trying to play 4-2-2-2.

Why didn't Smith take it?

Good question.

Because Windass scored one at Hull as a guess.

Will take a point, they probably had the better chances & Beadle made some great saves as per.

Rohl got it wrong with the initial lineup and Palmer can’t start in the midfield again. He does a job from 75th onwards to close a game out though if we need some legs.

Musaba as a player was summed up in those two runs, first one takes about 5 touches too many & then the next one super composed pass for the goal

I still can't imagine what Röhl has seen since the last time he tried Palmer in Midfield to think he'd be worthy of a starting shirt today

Or Ugbo starting in attack. 🙄

Starting midfield a real head scratcher. A turgid game on a turgid day, when they scored it had the feeling of a 1 nil about it but ultimately we should have won that with a penalty and enough time to then apply some pressure which never materialised.

Whilst I know some aren’t convinced by Bannan these days I think that’s further evidence of how reliant this team is on him to link things. There were a few times at the end where they’d clear a ball to the edge of the box and that’s where Bannan would pick it up and retain possession/help us apply pressure but in his absence we didn’t really keep the ball

Coaching masterclass from Röhl today.

Lots will be made of no BB starting but WTF team did he pick and the subs didn't address the issues from the first half.

See above @TheExile

If Chalobah had started, Charles could have played as the more advanced of the two and he 100% knows how and when to pick a pass plus is significantly more mobile than BB.

Also J-Lo or preferably Inglesson in the left would have helped Johnson more, as would Pol V on the right instead of Gassama.

It was a bit crap to watch. We looked really off it when we didn’t have the ball. Especially with Gassama and Valery on that right side. Valery was dreadful, Johnson and Charles were really poor today, Palmer was poor.

Despite that, we created some good chances, although we owed a point to two great Beadle stops and a howler of a miss.

The pen from Windass was a rotter of a spot kick.

Positives? Chalobah when he came on, Smith was our best player and deserved his goal.

Oh, I’ll call out the ref too. I thought he was really good. Tried to let it flow, and then when the game got nitpicky, gave the right fouls, booked at the right time and tried to play advantage.

Point gained today.
