bradowl Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 This evening on BBC 2 at 7pm, we are ball number 35. So who do we want and who do you think we will get and who do we want to avoid? Easiest game possible for me, Tamworth at home. Probably end up getting an away tie at somewhere like Plymouth. Avoid most teams in our league apart from maybe pigs at home and avoiding an away trip to somewhere like Brentford or Bournemouth where we would probably go out making very little money. Quote
Supercockle Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Anyone in a lower league than us, home or away. I’d like to see us be able to give players like McNeil some game time, as we did in the league cup. Otherwise, Pigs at home. Let’s beat the bastards and derail their season. Quote
Tank_Owl2,0 Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Citeh at home apparently they aren’t very good 😂 Quote
HarrySpeakup Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Tamworth at home not because they are the lowest team left - although that helps- but because they used to be my team when we spent most nights after school playing subbuteo 1 Quote
Billysboy Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Pigs at home, too impatient to wait while March to see a few of em getting slapped😉 2 Quote

McNeil I think won’t be around to play. I’ve a sneaky suspicion he’ll be out on loan. Quote
HoylandOwl Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 A winnable tie. Not bothered who. Fill the coffers a little more. Quote
Harry Lime Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 (edited) Take your pick. https://www.thefa.com/news/2024/dec/02/emirates-fa-cup-third-round-proper-draw-details-2024-25 Chelsea at home would be my prediction. Ball 35. Edited December 2, 2024 by Harry Lime Quote
Skamp Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Arsenal away just for the ground. Not fussed about Spurs' ground tbh. Quote
M42Owl Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 I’ll be on hols, so I prefer a league two side at home. Accrington or Morecambe would be nice. Quote
cheat Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Just fucking get on with it. Yours, a grumpy old man. 3 1 Quote
Harry Lime Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 I've just been reminded, if I ever needed it, why I don't watch the BBC anymore. 1 Quote
owl71 Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Totally predictable away draw against another Championship team. 🙄 Quote

Arsenal v Man U 100% will be on TV As will Villa v Hammers. I suspect they will still be doing multiple games outside the 3pm slot as the overseas TV rights seem to take priority in the FA Cup. Owling can at least moan about BBC and ITV not Sky Quote
Skamp Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Look Leeds will be all over Leeds v Harrogate Quote
bradowl Posted December 2, 2024 Author Posted December 2, 2024 Awful draw but on plus side it's not far to travel for our supporters. Quote

To think that we gave him a standing ovation as he walked off to retirement when subbed at Hillsborough! Assuming there's no replay, that's five times eventually we'll have played them in two seasons. 🙄 Quote

HoylandOwl Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 It’s stupid. Football isn’t a match going fans game anymore. It’s a slave to the coin provided by tv companies Quote
