No where near a foul.

If the ref gets a chance he evens up the penalty as well

Well he proved me wrong.

Did we sign Mustafa on loan at the same time as Dean Windass?

Just hope the EFL don't notice that we have played two unregistered players

I mean i know a 2 Nil away victory is fantastic but why do I still feel annoyed with that 2nd half drop off.

I guess it's we usually see the inevitable happening and losing 2 points when there is no need.

You have to kill these games off not going mad just playing the same way. As soon as we played football we got the 2nd and that was it. Why do we make it fucking hard for ourselves

Job done.  We deserved the three on the basis of our first half display.  This run before Christmas will go a long way to deciding what kind of season we have.  A lot of winnable games in quick succession.

Really good first half from an attacking sense. Really poor second half with the ball, but really drilled without it. Smart from Rohl with Palmer and putting him around Kasey Palmer as it cut the supply.

Probably should have gone it at half time 4-2 up. Aside from the camera save from Beadle, they’ve offered nowt second half. Second goal was a lovely goal and to be fair, if the final ball was better, we should have got a third.

Valentin very good first 45. Bernard and Lowe very good over the 90 as was Marv.

Thing is I know it's being stupidly critical and not fair on the overall performance but I find it so frustrating that we dangle the carrot

On a good night my only gripe was not being clinical when getting into good situations - again. Game should have been wrapped up before Hull's  20 to 25 minute spell.

Not a drop off as such. Key in the first half was Windass played between the lines and the ball stuck to Ugbo. Second half, Musaba stayed wide but more critically, it didnt stick to Smith because Hull went one in front and one behind because Windass wasn’t occupying that space. If you don’t have that 10, then the service has to stick to the striker and it didn’t.

The big change was actively trying to stop Kasey Palmer, once that happened, the space opened up.

I've been told that once Ugbo gets a goal the floodgates will open.

I know it’s a 2-0 win and off the ball we were really good in the second half but was it necessary for us to defend for the entirety of the second half?

Musaba and Smith just made us play on the counter attack and you can’t really knock it as we won but it just seemed like a backwards step as we played really well first half

Good 3 points though & Hull are as bad as the Sky commentators

I appreciate i am not really being fair, but there is a general trend to be not as good in the 2nd half. Is that because Bannan loses energy, is it tactical changes, something else.

I would just like us to take these games away from the opposition sooner - and that we need to perform for 90 minutes against the top 6 so get into practice

Tests the nerves. Hull have some good players and always likely to have a decent spell. We don't  put teams  to the sword when we're  dominating though. Frustrating.

A great win and fully deserved, a couple of hairy moments in first but saying that we should have scored 3 or 4 goals ourselves.

Second half we defended well for most part and could/should have scored another goal or two towards end.

Charles my player of match with many other players having a solid game.

The bit I didn't get is why the commentators said November had been a poor month. Ok defeat tonight and possibly so but the end game is 2 wins, 2 defeats and a draw - so 7 points out of 15. 2 defeats against sides at the top. Pigs now had 7 clean sheets in a row at home

And 2nd half we were playing like one that wanted to be.

Were you there at Hull. Just interested what the fans thoughts were 2nd half - well most of it.

7 games in December

9 matches in 35 days if you count the 2 games start of 2025

FA Cup not until 11th Jan so league game on the 4th.

Couple of reverse fixtures Preston and Derby in that. So never easy games as we know but aside from Middlesbrough away on Boxing Day all look potentially winnable.

True - the set up on Sky i guess means more are required. But it's almost like they need to set the agenda or give a narrative, not describe the game.

Bit clichéd at times

Yes. Also saw multiple current & former OwlsOnliners there.  Me & mates were screaming our heads off 2nd half against our dullard tactics and pathetic, weak performances by certain players, especially Musaba. Ironic after that shocking display that he should set up the excellent Smith.

From that point we stood there with bemused smiles, looking at each other whilst shaking our heads.  I'll take the 3 points but Jesus wept, what did we think we were doing 2nd half?  It's a good thing they were terrible!

Are you surprised wth those two clowns, they also said we had lost 3 away games on the trot, the first thing they said when we got the penalty was that we hadn't scored a penalty all season, amongst the other things

We put Musaba and Gassama on the pitch at the same time and we couldn't get out of our half. As soon as Gassama went of we perked up.

Did anyone catch one of the commentators name? He reckoned he was at Hillsborough when Palmer first started out, sorry if already mentioned.

Has one of them fucked your missus or summat? Or do you have another sinister reason for picking these two out?

Who's this Musaba you speak of?

Sorry one for the Sky viewers not you proper fans.

No and no except for their poor defensive qualities, or total lack of them, there for all to see.
