So did we play a 3-4-3 or was that a 3-5-2 to start?

If that was 3-5-2, then can that be binned please. We got away playing that in league one because of the standard of opposition. Gassama was wasted as a wing back. We've got two perfectly good players that can fill that position in Valery and Valentin leaving Gassama to be more effective as a wide forward

I do believe that had we gone with a 3 up front, (Gassama/Lowe/Musaba the wide players) with Smith or Ugbo up front, we go on and win that game. We looked a lot more dangerous the moment Musaba and Lowe came on and started running at them. Our backs to the goal attacking play is dreadful

It's a point gained as last season, we would have lost that game.

Heaven forbid. Musaba and Gassama starting together doesn't end well for us. They simply offer nothing in defending or getting the ball back and they lose it quite a lot. Maybe against teams like Cardiff we can chance starting one of them, but not both. I believe DR has now realised this. Impact players, off the bench after 65 minutes, fine.

Not only that, they shouldn't be on the pitch together either.IMO.

I’d be giving Musaba a run out tomorrow night, i think he’s very effective, or makes a real difference away from home… with the caveat of not trying stepovers/flicks in our own half!

Agree re. not starting both. Fair to say that I expected both to have kicked on better this season BUT both have shown signs in the last couple of games of better things. Both can really unnerve defenders with their pace and power when on it.

I definitely hope that Gassama starts tomorrow. I actually think that, whilst still a bit to go, he is improving defensively. Only just turned 21; a real talent IMO and, aside from the here and now, one that could earn the club a lot of money. Worth his place now IMO and improvement should come with regular starts.
