Reesh Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Haslam isn't a key figure in anything other than job title, he's not irreplaceable is he Quote
Tylluan Posted November 14 Posted November 14 (edited) As @Reesh says, it's an admin job if it's done right. More an office manager role. Doesn't even have to be an ex player sitting in the chair. The academy coaching team should be putting together the coaching plan in conjunction with the first team set up with the AM overseeing. They'll be responsible for things like the overall performance plan and the progression pathway. They'll also be responsible for any audits that take place. There'll be a load of other admin stuff as well like making sure all the relevant contracts are signed, the coaches qualifications and background checks are suitable. Sorting out loans and dealing with parents and agents (to a degree). At a club like ours it'll carry a minimum of an A Licence requirement but I've got one of them. You just have to put in the time and the money Edited November 14 by Tylluan 1 Quote
