To be fair, I could present MOTD, come on - it's not that difficult.

Up next is Everton versus Arsenal - wait 15 minutes, talk about what we've all just seen for the next 20 minutes drawing circles around Saka showing him cutting in from the right and then announce, now for Manchester City vs Liverpool - and repeat.

A 45 programme dragged out for about 90 minutes just to pander to him, Shearer, Murphy etc.

Wonder where his pompous self-righteous face will turn up instead

Or will he concentrate on sagging young girls behind his wife's back?

He'd be perfect running Owlstalk 🤣

Those talking sections are the get another can from the fridge and have a smoke interludes the very odd time I watch it.

Alex Scott, Jill Scott or Gabby Logan to be involved somehow you see.

Or Clare Balding - she gets everywhere [mind you. she's quite knowledgeable on the stuff I see her involved in]

Or are the BBC clearing the decks . Given the financial constraints at the BBC questions are being asked is the price of the last deal ( £211 million  for 3 years ) worth renewing , the viewing figures are not that great as most people have seen goals/highlights on other platforms

Alex Scott is the front runner for the job apparently

She's paid peanuts compared to her male counterparts. Can see Shearer going as well after the World Cup.

Jug ears will continue with his TNT Sports stuff and probably end up on beIN sports or with Al Jazeera covering the Saudi Sunday League.

Great shout, Ty. He has lots of contacts in that part of the world, by all accounts

I haven't watched it in donkeys years. I really don't care about the EPL because we aren't there. It's a shame because I used to watch any game. I don't even live in The UK and certainly wouldn't pay for a TV licence if I did. I've cancelled Netflix and Amazon. So much crap content pandering to things I don't really enjoy. I'm sure MOTD will be following that trend. I'll stick to YouTube Premium for now.

I'm the same, I really can't be arsed with the whole sensationalist shit around the Premier League on 'Super Sunday'. This and the whole absolute oversaturation of the game across all TV now. If I notice a games' on, I might watch it if I can be arsed. But the majority of the time, I can't.

Watching a game live on TV used to be an event especially the Champions League midweek games now it's wall to wall and becoming a chore, can't remember the last time I watched an EPL game all the way through.

This

Absolutely this, I have games on in the background nowadays more often than I pay attention to them.

Lineker is apparently a shoe in for the Archbishop of Canterbury job.

That's a 'shoo in', ('One man and his dog,' style), unless you actually mean to kick him, which might be understandable sometimes.
