Go on, will take this one on the proviso don't have to keep it for Pigs game if we win.  Need to bring Holmesfield back for that one.

Quick chance to right the wrongs of the second half on Saturday.  Norwich will also be looking to make amends from throwing away a lead to lose in final minutes to Cardiff.

Sorry mate, unbeaten, you carry on... Them's the rules.

I’m thinking we’ll get a reaction to Saturday tomorrow night, even if it’s not 3 points, it’ll be a very different overall performance

The one positive is that Rohl said the players came in post Saturday shocked with what happened, so presume they will react. The risk is it going tits up early doors and it being a nightmare for players and fans alike

Be interesting to see how much the line up changes ?  Is Ihiekwe fit ?  If not we might see Max Lowe or Otegbayo drafted into the back 3.

Lowe isn't my favorite player but he's a better fit to replace Famewo, get Bernard back to his favored postion.

Or the other thing we could do is have a back 3 of Valery Bernard Palmer

Wing backs in Pol & Johnson.

3 midfielders in Charles, Bannan & Inglesson

With Smith & Lowe up top.

Hopefully that offers more balance in the defence, ingelsson will play as one of the 3 upfront but is a bit more defensively minded

Certainly giving Ugbo a chance to hit form

Ugbo is a lucky boy.

True, Smith would have every right to moan but perhaps he is gonna start Sunday. Tbh I would have him with Patto up front for that game, just to cause a bit of mayhem

Yep.

We've taken the in form striker (first time we've had one this season) and benched him for someone who's having trouble finding the net nevermind hitting the back of it.

Wonder how that conversation went with Smith?

Anyway the good news is the ref is Steve Martin. You may have seen an incident from his last game at the weekend.

Yep he was the one who disallowed the Peterborough goal and gave a corner instead 🙄

He would turn up at Hillsborough wouldn't he after that incident

And he's usually fucking decent for us if you bother to check.

The encouraging thing tonight is we don’t seem to be struggling to carve them open.  Whereas Norwich are having nice possession in front of us.

Don’t want to speak too soon but it’s been a solid half.

If we can get these performances consistently out of Ingelsson then he’ll become a very important player for us.

I think this is one of those games where Röhl has just absolutely nailed it in terms of team selection and tactics.  Exactly what we needed after Saturday.

That's a player massively short on confidence and trying to play your way out of it isn't the way

He looks like a player who doesn't want to be there. In the words of the beeb "Ike Ugbo misses the sitter of all sitters"

The Ugbo header didn't really cost us as the Windass goal was pretty quick after.

Ugbo just needs to look at that shot he had, good move, drop inside, no time to think.

There was another header which shows how out of form he is, totally mistimed and the ball went up and back. But really just keep the pressure on their defenders is the job tonight

Not wishing to jinx this game but I recall in the late 70's or early 80's us being 3-0 up at half time against Norwich and then clinging on to draw 3-3

Was it when we'd either not scored or not won for yonks?

Age is a cruel mistress if so.

No.... it was the season we signed Andy Sinton

Delighted for Gabriel Otegbayo making his league debut, all I can say about his performance is I didn't notice him or Iorfa's absence.

Our first slightly boring win of the season.  Exactly what the doctor ordered, but it won’t live long in the memory.  Already thinking about Sunday, in fact.

Excellent performance really. One mistake from Beadle did not cost us thankfully.

I suppose it helped that Norwich were awful, almost like watching us under various managers over the years.

The inherent nervousness of every Wednesday fan though, 2 up, cruising just waiting for the inevitable mistake to cost us and mild surprise when you see the game out quite comfortably

Good win against a decent side, just what we needed from the collapse against Watford.

Hopefully Iorfa is fit for the weekend however, I wouldn’t be upset if we had to start Otegbayo. We’d normally sub on Palmer in those circumstances as well so is this the beginning of the end for him?

Some really solid performances across the board. Don’t really think anyone had a bad game including the officials

Totally vital we got the first goal. Slightly nervous defending to start with - understandable I guess - but once we settled and got the game plan working and were troubling them.

And Ugbo was vital in achieving that despite his glaring miss, so tactically Rohl got it spot on. Also playing the 3 in midfield helped, ok it gives space out wide always a compromise but I prefer the solidity.

Think he will go with the same formation at the weekend
