I can safely say one of my most loathed games. Would happily live with us never playing them - clearly preferably if they are in a lower league

This.

Although I still think it means more to them than it does us.

If we win then Danny will be magnanimous in praising the game and the effort of the players and fans. If they win then Wilder will be full on that they fully deserved it and 'we did it for them (the fans) we did it for George'.

If they lose or it's a draw then Wilder will be fully into the ref for something.

I just hope it goes off with minimal disruption from the moronic elements of both sides. The day is about remembering the lives of those who died in real conflicts, not claiming a victory in a few punch ups and telling your mates you went to war and won.

I may be well out of line with this, so delete or give me grief or whatever, but...

I cannot understand why this game is being bigged up about Baldock ( R.I.P. and god bless to all his family and friends).

He wasn't from Sheffield.

He died weeks ago.

Have they had a minutes silence at each game since he died?

I cannot get it out of my head, that they are just doing it while hoping we do something wrong in the minutes silence, just to have a go (I don't think we will by the way).

Sorry, just my simple mind working overtime.

At the monthly quiz we attend, the topical news round Baldock was one of the questions

Sadly the other team members are all women and did not get the joke that I still won't tell on here.

They did find the one about Liam Payne offensive.

Nah, not having that.  I hate the piggy bastards and I want us to stuff them 8-0 every time we meet.  I also want them to go bust.

I'm with you on that but I still think that across the wider respective fanbases it means more.

We win and a Wednesday fan goes into work with a huge smile on his face and some ribbing to his piggy colleague.

They win and that same pig will be fully in the face of the Wednesdayite and it'll become ugly.

It's just the way it's ingrained in them.

After today’s results it just shows how tricky next weekend will be. If I see Palmer, Gassama and Musaba starting I’ll be hiding behind the sofa.

If there is one game to play 3 across the middle it's that one

I could well see Palmer getting more minutes not less now. Gassama is a talent and, but for going AWOL for the first goal, was doing pretty well yesterday to the point that he was being singled out for some 'softening up' by Watford. Agree though, playing him with Musaba is a scary thought in front of our defence.

Bang on re Gassama yesterday. I said, at half time we needed to start the second half giving him the licence to keep running at them. They couldn’t do anything but boot him, and Porteous loves a rash challenge and of course was already in a yellow card.

But. We saw what happened.

Gassama is preferred to Musaba right now and I can see why. There’s ‘more’ of an end product to Gassama right now, be it a pass or a shot than holding it too long which Musaba has seemed to fall into doing more often than not this season.

Musaba can be an asset from the bench, against anyone. He’s quick, very direct. But we need to make sure he gets it in the opposition half, not ours as the fancy stuff in our half from him could lead to a world of hurt! Said it before, he seems like the modern day JJ.

We'll get mullered. Last 20 minutes, fair enough. They can't track back and can't tackle. They should never start together and neither should start against a top 6/8 side.

I’m having a house full for this one.

I have always maintained that my hatred for them only surfaces on derby week. I have a superiority complex about them, so they don’t register as much with me as they’ve always been levels below (even when they think they are levels above).

What do I think will happen in the game? They are simply a much better side than us with a fair few big hitters on 50k a week (to quote Wilder). We have to be at our absolute best to have any chance of beating them away from home. We will get chances, we need to take them.

But it’s a tough ask on Sunday.

OK they play a different formation to us at the moment but how many of our squad get in a joint team ?

Perhaps on current form Johnson at Left Back then  maybe Charles and Valery if play to their full potential.

Going to be very very difficult to get anything.  Don't think we trouble their defence too much certainly centrally.  Can see the game hinging on how we handle O'Hare and Hamer in the number 10 type roles.

I'd be looking to get Pato involved somewhere in the side but know it won't happen.

We are only 10/3 to win which frankly is amazingly bad odds imo

It seems poor odds but it’s likely the fact it’s a derby which can have a big effect on the form book.
