Reesh
50 games up for the club last night, quickly come around, lad is a classy player and may outgrow the club if he continues the trajectory he is on and takes on board what Danny and co are drilling into him. He is one booking away from a suspension, so would you take a tactical yellow v Watford so he's available for the pigs?

Yes, though against Watford I don't think it'll have to be tactical. Their forward line trip over their own shadows 1

Even the same dead brain that sent Fessi off at Hull wasn't anywhere near as bad as him when at Portsmouth!
Teddy Nickelarse
Play him v Watford for me. Same 3 points at stake. Just don't get booked for something daft like obvious time wasting or dissent.

Yes, managing fitness/wellbeing prudently is sensible. Juggling/weakening the team just to delay a one match ban isn't.

Foggy thinking on my part. Be interesting to see what happens if he doesn't pick up a booking against Watford. I'd still hope that Danny would base his selection against Norwich solely on the best team for that fixture fitness/fatigue permitting.
KrolMong
Famewo being out for a few months may mean he’ll need to play until he can’t.

ProfessorOwl
I have always thought he is better than a lot give him credit for. Anyway, we need him to step up since Famewo is out. Not like we had a ton of depth in that area anyway lol smh. And hey first post here(Though been a member for quite awhile haha). Fan since the Simek days, teach Psych at a local college, and looking forward to actually start joining in on the conversations. This seems like a way better place to chat than Owlstalk haha.
owl4ever1867
Think the young kid (can't remember his name) will be in the frame now, thought he was superb in that 2nd half. As for Bernard, what can I say, been exceptional so far this season, here's to him carrying on the good form.

He's probably the best defender at the club, who are the retards that don't see it? You can tell he was brought up in the right way club wise and he is pacy, powerful and can actually play football. Ah, American.....FFS.
HoylandOwl
Bernard was one of the key (re) signings of the summer. He's good with and without the ball, does things without fuss, and very well.
HoylandOwl
As mentioned in another thread, earlier Otegbayo. He was outstanding the other night, and looks like there's a LOT more to come from him. If we lost Bernard, I know you mentioned Ihiekwe, who tbh hasn't done a lot wrong, but I wouldn't be averse to Otegbayo playing V Norwich either.
KrolMong
I think he’s a top defender, as is Famewo. His actual issue is that when he has a bad game, his head goes and has a stinker. But, the more he plays, the better he’s got. Hes got the lot, he’s big, strong and quick, he’s good in the air, he reads the game and he’s comfortable with the ball.
tomcore
I think you play the best players for the situation and Bernard should definitely start whenever he's available. It gives the fringe players something to train even harder for.

Akin has been so unlucky with injuries, you can see the work Röhl and co have put into has been coming to the fore as each game passes.

Agreed, in the last month he's been fantastic in particular. Very reliable on both sides of the ball.
