Yep: we did a 7-mile walk on the moors above Rivelin on Monday and around Redmires reservoirs. That wind up there was chuffing freezing. I reckon we have those fluffy warm feathers off of those Swans on Monday evening: what do you think?   🦉

Starting to head into colder seasons. Fancy this being a cold drsb watch that we'll sneak 1-0, and that will do for me.

Come on Wednesday!!!!

Absolutely thanks for the reminder. Probably need to invest in a heated armchair with winter coming.

Hoping my Sky Sports + stream speed is decent again

I can safely say I no longer miss dragging my arse up the M1 on a midweek evening

Mine and the lads first and probably only game of the season, unfortunately the only game we got to last season was Millwall at home, hopefully not the same result 👍

I mean it is a skill to earn a living as a set piece coach and we have got worse at defending them, but fucking terrible at taking them

At least the latter missed out the keeper

Flat.  As flat as the least mountainous part of Holland or a leftover pint of Southern bitter.  Subs could decide this…hopefully because at least then something will have happened.

Crowd noise levels more like those Covid games

It's been poor for a long while. But a game such as football is becoming of a tactical chess game interspersed with the odd attacking moment it's perhaps not surprising fans are as lethargic as the play

Atmosphere picked up momentarily, half way through the half. Fans tried to get the players going, but it’s hardly a spectacle is it.

i think the way they play, holding possession as much as they do, without doing much with it helps either.

You have to try and raise the tempo if you can but it's a balance because if you over commit then they will get an overload. Go behind in this game and it will be a struggle

Look dangerous when we can get the ball back in transition but let down by poor application and decision making when it counts

Just getting caught out on the basics, players clearly not talking as you've two often going for the same ball and others not ready when the pass comes. Bannan back to his usual self, we can only successfully execute the press if everyone does it together, not sure he's pressed once.

Even the female commentator said it was.

Not sure who she was but the game sort of suited her and so she came across well in fairness

Ex Blade Courtney Sweetman Kirk.

She is OK and more knowledgeable than the likes of Micah Richards

The only 0-0 in England tonight 😕

One shot on target between both sides.

They had 62% possession but it's like watching a porno where it's all foreplay and no actual fucking

See I nearly fell into the trap

But there was no goals at Tamworth and Kidderminster as well.

It is difficult to analyse us really. We don't play particularly poorly, I mean rating the players it would be 6.5 /10 and a standard deviation of 1.

We look defensively ok, but there is just something lacking in us but frankly we are not unique in that regard.

You look at the table and you have 18 teams that are very similar quality, don't play radically different, all try to rotate the squad to deal with the ludicrous 46 game season and it is noticeable the quantum of draws tonight.

Is it the fear of losing outweighing the drive to win.

Our let down is certainly the attacking 3rd, we don't get there enough, but when we do the quality of the shot, the cross, the decision making is distinctly average.

That was so flat.Like a game neither side could really be bothered with and just happy not to lose. Just like the Bristol city game the other week, when the fixtures pile up this happens.

I can see why we started with the players we did to counter that lethargy but I thought some of those given a chance looked the most sluggish in the first half.

If he gives that penalty and we won 1-0 everyone would be saying it's a good solid start to the season. Fine margins and we're getting nothing from officials.

Aside from that big call the ref I thought did alright. It was a pen as there was contact on the standing leg, but you only tend to get those if the action is at pace.

It is a division of fine margins and all the other sides can probably say similar. There is barely a points gap at present between a lot of sides.

Each side can beat any other, home or away if you take the top 6 out of it. No side looks destined to really struggle this season.

And we can say a lack of urgency but you can see the plan is for a 3 game week and expending energy accordingly.

I’d be more depressed if I had to watch Swansea for the rest of the season. They’re as boring as hell and I don’t think they really looked like scoring even though Beadle had to make some decent saves.

We lacked some urgency and that suited them. We did try to lift the tempo in the 2nd half and it did work in parts.

Like MK says I think defensively we look decent and but for a rare error at the weekend we’ve looked solid for a few games now.

I thought he might have pushed Pato into the mix to win the flick ons but that didn’t really happen although it did cause problems on the odd occasion when he did but we were talking the last throws by then.

We didn’t lose, that’s pretty the only positive I can think.

My god though there are some right moaning gits, that don’t seem to recognise the opposition have a plan and style that we need to be aware of, even if we didn’t help ourselves at times.

Had a brilliant night last night at a gig entertained by two fantastic bands with tonight being the polar opposite.

Sort of expected it having been told by Blade at work how Swansea play and its how it played out.

One of the big problems at the moment is despite a half decent squad not many are standing out as being nailed on starters or game changes.  We could really pick any 11 within reason and the performance deviate by a small percentage.

The game was crying out for a 20 minute Pato cameo.  The Olaf for Gassama was poor from Rohl and should have been Pato on and switch Windass to the left.

A frustrating night, Swansea were better side first half but didn't create much apart from when they hit post.

Second half we upped the tempo and looked likely winners but we just couldn't get that goal.

Anyway it's another point towards promotion. UTO 😁

I think the TV commentary pointed out that Swansea have the highest possession stats in the country - maybe just at EFL level - at over 60%. But then have not scored for over 4 matches.

So is football at risk of boring the fans to tears as nothing happens for big chunks of the game ? I will always prefer pass and move football over lump it in hope, but you could have watched last night's game on X2 on the Sky box and still been moaning at the pace of the game.

Like watching the Man City v Wolves, that was more like watching Handball than football.
