You in the US ?

If so Murder on the Dance floor may be an actual reality not a song.

Not my musical taste but if she creates a decent vibe live then why not, presuming the ticket price is sane of course

Yeh, she's playing a small venue in Orlando. $35 so pretty cheap.

Why not then

I say to my kids you can't watch too much live music really.

Just back from The The at The Venue, Birdwell.

Cracking venue.

First half was the new album in it’s entirety; second half was the old stuff.

New album was ok - but it’s safe to say that the second half pissed all over the first.

Great gig - great venue - about 50 people there

Frank Carter & the Sex Pistols at Nottingham Rock City, no Johnny Lydon but Frank does a great job backed by the original trio messrs Jones, Cook & Matlock, really enjoyed this, good nostalgia trip and an appreciative audience.

Forgot to mention we went to see the Tashi Lhunpo Monks (the Tibetan exiled Buddhist monks in India) with sacred music and dance performances in Donny the other night

Some amazing vocals but way too short

While I was there I picked up a leaflet for the UK Pink Floyd show in February and booked it when I got home

Jungle were very good at the O2.

Didn't  realise I knew any of their songs but recognised a couple from TV ads.

I've not seen an entire crowd* so happy and enthusiastic at a gig before.

*except me because my back went so I kept nipping to the bar

Saw the Wedding Present at the O2 in Leeds last night, great home town gig playing the Bizarro album in full on it's 30th anniversay, loved it.

I was at the Shepherds Bush gig on the Friday night.

Excellent as always though sat in the upper level keeping Mrs MK away from the periphery of the mosh pit what with her dodgy knee these days.

But great fun watching the same fairly young lass crowd surfing half a dozen times, usually a middle aged fella who should know better

Mr Gedge is doing an acoustic solo set later in the year with one here in MK. Be a different vibe for that

I really enjoyed it and a decent mosh pit developed in Leeds (particularly for Kennedy) great band, I'll check out the solo tour to see what material he's doing, I also like Cinerama.

Went to see The Style Councilors 'tribute' act in Huddersfield on Saturday night and they were excellent.

Was not going to gigs when the original band were about but these were a very good substitute.

Think they are playing The Leadmill in February.

Went to see a chap called Gaz Brookfield last night, seen him before supporting The Levellers but first time at one of his gigs. In the rock n roll mecca of erm Leighton Buzzard. But a cracking small venue but love that level of gig because you can actually chat with them outside.

He does a great track about those that go to gigs and talk thru the set. Irony being we nearly saw it kick off just before he sang it for that exact reason.

Only £11 as well - I really need to support these smaller venues more

Busy few days coming up ........

Sheds tomorrow at Leeds Uni - playing Change Giver in full then a hits set.  Absolutely loved this album and bought it in front of Definitely Maybe.  They were released a few days apart.

Then next week a Blossoms/Red Rum Club double header - Octagon on Monday and Rock City on Wednesday.

A bit of nostalgia with Ben Portsmouths Elvis tribute show, he's got the voice, the looks and the moves and adds a bit of "out of character" humour into it, good show.

The Libertines @ The Octagon this evening, got a last minute ticket for £24 and pleased I did, played a full two hour hits laden set, sounded fantastic and Doherty and Barat were in fine form.

It is a great venue, a favourite of mine, if the Libertines are anything like they were last night you'll have a great time.

Went to see Paul Heaton on Saturday night at Leeds Arena.

What a brilliant gig and a great venue.  First time I have been and my next visit is Tuesday to see Fontaines DC.

Some class trolling of the Leeds crowd by PH asking is someone could let him know the Blackburn v Leeds score as he had missed it due to preparing for the gig.

Despite him being a Pig is a class act.

I'm not a big arena fan but the Leeds one is very good, my lad saw Fontaines in Notts last week and really enjoyed it.

I was standing but it had the feel of a small venue with thousands in it !

I'm in the top tier for Fontaines though so will see how that is.

I was in standing for New Order last year and it was great, you do feel you're a bit far away up in the gods, it's higher than it looks from ground level.

Return trip to Leeds Arena last night for Fontaines DC who were magnificent.  We were in the Gods last night but still a great view.

P*isses all over Sheffield Arena now so expect to see less and less big gigs there.

I saw Fontaines at Primavera in 2022 fairly low down the bill, they've certainly grown in stature since then.

The Sheffield Beatles Project at the Octagon, this 30 piece ensemble play around this time every year but this is the first time I've seen them, they do accurate covers of the Fab Fours tunes and this time it was the white album in it's entirety, really enjoyed this and the encore with Lennon's Happy Xmas (War Is Over) was a nice touch.

My only bug bear, more the last one, is when at a gig and you have the twat next to you that decides their voice should be heard not the lead singers.

I am pretty mild mannered but talking at Gigs really winds me up and usually end up having a go at someone for it.

I just don't get it.  Pay all that money for tickets and chat to your mate while the band are on.
