40 years today

"We said we'd be back, and we are"

Not fucking half...

I'm in the terrace opposite the camera, to the left.  We all blew Varadi's goal in, I'm sure we did.

The irony being that is the most overcrowded, unsafe away end I ever went in. Never really saw the Varadi effort go in.

The nice bricking of the train as it left Liverpool as well

With my view a little obstructed, I initially thought Varadi’s effort had gone just wide.

I thought “bloody hell, if we’re this excited about a near miss, what are we going to be like if we actually score”.

Stood up in that top corner I equally had no idea they had hit the post during the match itself.

Thing is none around me could say we had scored until they kicked off again

Just watched the highlights for the first time since Skamp posted it.  Reading the comments below the original, open posting: my god!  One Owl's mate had 40 stitches down his back. Slashed with a Stanley knife.

I heard some of ours were attacked that way, that day, at the time but 40 stitches???
