The march to Wembley, Hull City (a) match thread

Interesting if he will make sweeping changes, did he make a lot for the FA Cup, can't remember. But I presume he will want to see other players, give them minutes. Do we know if Ugbo has got clearance yet

He made a few.

He did put the kids out in the replay v Cov, as we had a Saturday-Tuesday-Friday that week.

Is Chalobah injured or just not up to match fitness yet?

Knock in training last week, Famewo out for same reason v Plymouth.

I'm expecting 11 changes with very few if any involved who played Sunday.

Charles

Valentin

Diaby

Ihiekwe

Johnson

Kobacki

Palmer

Chalobah (if fit) Fusire or Shipson if not.

Paterson

McNeil

Smith

Subs Beadle Otegbayo Wilks Cadamateri Phuti Reed Siqueira Ugbo Onukwuli

The answer is just the 11

Well it's not dull under Rohl that's for sure.

Attacking wise we look excellent, defensively more questionable with this set up / players.

Good job it's early in the season so I don't have to watch from behind the sofa

Just now, Reesh said:

Defensively we look a lot more shaky but still look good with the ball going forward.

The change in the depth of the squad in 12 months is blindingly obvious.

It is interesting, I know people like Pato, but he looks like a duck out of water with this style of pass and move. I would say Palmer as well. Neither are playing badly saying that, just look technically below what is required

Agree Reesh, cannot look when we are being attacked but we look good ourselves when we are going forwards. Too many loose passes for my liking in that half though! Would love McNeil to get his hat trick in second half. I think we will end up losing as will run out of steam eventually but the game will have served its purpose for DR and team

Palmer shouldn't put the shirt on for us again.

We have Valery, Pol V, Iorfa ahead of him at RB and he's not good enough as a 6.

Unless he's gonna be used as a third choice left back then it's game over I'm afraid as we HAVE to sign another LB.

Fusire is a player and I've every confidence in him to do a decent job in CM but I think cover for Chalobah and a young Ratter for Bannan / Ingelsson and we're done there.

Ugbo & Lowe have #9 tied up,and Smith is irreplaceable in my eyes.

Gassama, Musaba, Kobacki Windass McNeill and Jamal Lowe support the #9 maybe room for another.

So for me.

Outs.

Palmer (moved slowly into a coaching role) Pato, Neymarv Famewo (if  we get a LB) BTC (Loan), Wilks, Shipstone (Loan)

Why?

Leaves it late with his passes, some of which are then rushed and put our player immediately under pressure. Not the greatest on crosses and doesn’t command his area all that well either.

I wouldn’t want him as our regular number one just yet. Think a spell out on loan would see both his game and confidence improve.

Fusire is looking decent here and repays what Rohl has said about him over the summer

Fusire has been immense, naturally a bit shaky at the start but as the game has gone on he has been excellent, commentators keep mentioning him as well
