KrolMong Posted July 25 Posted July 25 I’m not sure he would. His danger radar and his decision making when making defensive decisions were awful. He would have been a good option in a team that dominates the ball, as he was very good in possession, but as a defender, he was dire - he even struggled with the basics that you are taught as a kid. Skamp Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Was it him that always headed the ball upwards instead of heading it away when defending a cross? Especially in the last minutes of a game. Quote
Andyben Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Vincent Sasso is still playing in French Ligue 2 for Dunkirk Quote

KrolMong Posted July 25 Posted July 25 I have never seen a centre half as bad as him when it came to dealing with balls into the box. You are taught to get as much height and distance on headers, send it back the way it came from and not to put into areas of danger. He did everything but, his biggest skill was his ability, often without pressure, to head into down and into the edge of the box. He was also a terrible marker from open play and either got too tight and then rolled, or he’d drop off and allow a run on him. Which was made worse by his lack and strength and extreme lack of pace. Awful defender. Quote
HoylandOwl Posted July 25 Author Posted July 25 The other thing about this is, he's retired at the age of 30.... Quote
