TheExile
Seems like his agent has looked at one of the few places with the window still open and generated interest to try and get some chat going about a now contract for Mr Pol V.

Our firm had a reward policy for long service employees, (not that any of us wanted to hang around for any of them.) 20 years: a gold Rolex watch. 25 years: same but with a gold strap. 10 years: a holiday in Beirut. (I'm sure it had been very nice previously but at the time there was a civil war between about six factions and the airport there was being shelled. No-one had thought to update our manual.) 🙄

Just in time to face us Swansea already have 24 'in squad' players registered so can only register one more and Cyrus Christie is on trial as well and he was on loan at Swansea and did quite well. Swansea have just binned their head of recruitment and Williams has constantly moaned that he wasn't allowed to bring in another forward (Langstaff) and a wide player. Reach could either role but Christie is more likely to get the nod as the right side is more pressing for Swansea

Bollocks - He was absolutely carrying our team at times, played up front, central midfield, third centre half as well as all the way down the left, and often on the right.

Bet you booed Shez and Waddle... Well aside from Sheridan being my favourite Wednesday player of all time you are spot on. I don't think the West Brom fans were devastated when his contract ended, I thought he would progress in a better all round quality team and for what ever reason he didn't. I don't recall slating him when he played for Wednesday either

KrolMong
I thought Reach was an above average player in a poor team with big injury problems. He did carry us in that second season but really paid for the departure of Bruce and the appointment of the utter dross that came after that. He was genuinely poor in his third and fourth year - which was made to look worse because his levels dropped so much. Oddly enough. I happen to think he would have benefited from both Darren Moore and Rohl especially as a wing back which he was tailor made to play.

HoylandOwl
I think the size of Reach’s transfer fee put a massive expectation in what we would get from some supporters, and that instantly put folks off him when he didn’t rip up the league, taking folks on and delivering crosses on a 2p every game, every time. It reminded me a bit of when we got Andy Sinton, in that he had a sizeable fee, came in as the answer to our ‘left wing’ position yet neither ultimately didn’t end up working up to their potential for us, for whatever reason. Neither of them were ‘shit’, that is for sure

Tylluan
We're one of a number of clubs monitoring 18 year old Rory Wilson's situation at Aston Villa, as he refuses to sign a new contract citing 'lack of first team opportunities' as the reason. The real reason is he (in reality, his agent) wants to be the top earner in their academy. Moved from Rangers academy and has been scoring for fun in PL2. If he moves then Villa will only be entitled to around £200k in training costs compensation. He's currently training alone and Villa may look to loan him out in January just to get him away from the training ground.
