Just shows how quickly things can change in football, 12 months ago Coventry were flying in Championship, they looked a very good side when they did double over us.

Edit... After a dodgy start to season they were 18th at start of November but were 6th after beating us at Hillsborough in January.

Statement says they're going to take their time appointing a permanent replacement and will announce an interim shortly.

The interim has got Sunderland away, pigs at home, and Burnley away for their first three games.

They have picked up 10 points from the last 5 games which makes it all the more baffling.

The statement also says head coach rather than manager, they have changed their structure over the last couple of years including getting rid of Viveash (as you said before on here pal) and the new coach has to fit in that structure.

Rules Röhl out at least

Bloomfield has a Kazak billionaire backing him at Wycombe and he'll have an open wallet to play with if they're anywhere near the top 6 in January.

Can't see the point of going to Coventry at the moment.

A quick look on the Cov forums shows more or less a 60/40 split on the sacking being the wrong decision.

But there's an absolute meltdown over the chief analyst getting the interim roll.

Robins seemed to be getting some right earache from their fans after we won there. I suppose, as we know well ourselves, the noisy minority anywhere stand out.

Coventry ended last season with one point from the last six matches. Blame the distraction of the cup, but it’s still a poor return.

This season and they’re out of the bottom three on GD. For most managers, that record puts their continued employment in doubt.

Robins should have a lot of credit in the bank based on his record since he joined the club, but how long does the club wait before firing the bullet? From afar, to me, over the last 20 games it looks like it’s all going stale there and a change is needed. So I don’t see this as a surprise sacking.

Add in his abysmally dire recent persona...

Evans has been sacked apparently

I'm surprised they can afford too, they have a fairly high wage bill by there standards for league one level.

If they don't go up this season which looks highly unlikely they could be in trouble again financially.
