Chansiri appeals for cash.

As the real or imagined cash flow crisis as seemingly come an end our local journo’s are full on continue the critique.

Rob & Dom are trying to the paint the delay in securing a head of recruitment as a D.C. flaw again.

Rohl going to be brilliant but it remains a result based business .. we’ve just had two people rejected based on work permits and the clubs owner just asked for 2 million cash.

They are trying to point out at because D.C. said a new head recruitment “may” come as a major negative.

Pretty sure any organisation in world would be hesitant given recent challenges - plus we are hardly the most attractive proposition post recent stories and our league status.

A period of settled calm equals less clicks I guess

I mean we are quite parochial so we feed on stories about SWFC, we lap up the positive ones, jump on the negative ones. But I suspect other club fans think the same, probably some think their local media are nothing more than mouthpieces for the Club and no dissenting views are permitted. Others I suspect like at Bury in the past have aired the realities of the owners.

We can't hide from the fact Chansiri whilst providing the funds is not the greatest owner in the world. The Club by the most important measure of its place in the pyramid is lower than when he took on the reins despite the £×××m spent / wasted / invested (take your pick)

Makes me laugh, we turn away 2 people who are coming to work in the Country & pay taxes, yet we allow illegal immigrants into the Country everyday & even give them money to live on....

Country is fucked....

But I guess that's another topic...  maybe.

I'd suggest the opposite if I'm honest, I think our fans lap up the negative ones and view anything positive with a healthy dose of cynicism.

My issue with our local media is the fact that when we truly were absolutely in the shit and needed these stories to be aired they said nothing. They haven't learnt from that, it's just easier to pick on Chansiri because he isn't here most of the time.

Your last paragraph intrigues me, what does a good owner of a football club look like? Poundland? Glazers? Even the fan run clubs aren't all sunshine and roses (just ask any Exeter City fans). Dave Whelan was often heralded as a good owner, but the club have been in the shite since he flogged them to the first bell end he could find.

Who knows, I suspect most fans rankle about their owner like most folk gripe about their boss at work.

Are Man City fans happy - if they got hit with financial sanctions and stripped of league titles

Are Newcastle fans happy - probably today but when the Saudi's lose interest or the human rights abuses become too much

You could go through each club, Spurs lose a couple on the bounce and Levy will be the devil incarnate again

Wednesday fans I suspect are the same as every other Club. Saw Reading was trending on twitter and it would appear their owner has settled their HMRC debt. They must be playing tonight and there was a planned protest - but some comments I saw were imploring it not to happen so they have no more points sanction etc. Fans everywhere never all sing from the same voice. Why journalists swing with the wind is one to ask them really

Stir are itching to get into Wednesday.

Rohl's appointment has come across very positive. Lost 3 in 4, rub of green goes our way and we'd have been in with a shout of winning all of em. So anything with a down and they're on it.

Local media are so quick to pour negativity all over us and I just don't get it. Why the fuck would I buy their rag if it's all criticisms? The pigs don't get that angle.

Doom supposedly left us, but his twatter keeps popping up on my feed and EVERY Wednesday one is a bite. Wish he'd fuck off.

I think they all read Stalk and produce articles that will appeal to the majority on there in the assumption that Stalk is a reliable representation of how the fanbase as a whole feels.

It also generates the much coveted clicks they need to justify their existence.

This in turn fuels the negativity and generates more posts on Stalk from outraged fans and the whole thing snowballs.

It's all a bit pathetic and bares little resemblance to actual journalism.

Crann is definitely on there as he was getting pelters for not knowing  any Red Bull gossip.

I believe Staton and Doom are also on but under more obtuse pseudonyms than yeswecrann.

Have you noticed how many new posters are coming on here asking how we think the season will go, or how the game went, etc and then posting nothing else.

Alex Miller is Toadie. Radio Sheffield post as FH Team.

More than a suspicion that posts referencing this site are deleted - likely to discourage any interest maybe out of fear of defections. There'll likely be increasing numbers dipping in here as posters not conforming to the world according to Hargreaves are being increasingly censored and harangued.

Irony is there's 99.9% vociferous, rabid and abusive anti Chansiri sentiment on there yet so little at Hillsborough  on match days. Makes you wonder.

Or, there's of course the argument that controversy or negativity gets more clicks/social post engagement etc etc.. Maybe only second to when we actually do summat like overturn a 4 goal playoff deficit or win in the playoff final at Wembley.

FWIW, I'd just like to say here and now, and for clarity that I am not Staton, Crann, Toadie or Arse Chin. Or Ricky Charlesworth either for that matter.

I have just read the top one and was going to post the second one, but you had already done it.

He alluded to this a week or two ago. Someone had posted something about  OT on another SM site and he went on to say that he doesn't like or condone discussions of other sites on OT. He was attempting to take the moral high ground stance in as much as "let them talk about us but we'll not be talking about anyone else" sort of way. The other site wasn't named, no idea which one it was.

I suggested Stalk was full of idiots on X a few weeks back and it got cross referenced.

But pre banning he would delete anything that referenced Owlsonline in my posts

Don't know why anyone on here would even look on OT once they've visited before. Don't like the stupid pictures all the time threads get too long.

A lot of morons on there. I mean I don't agree with everything on here but I think generally we'll debate reasonably and only call people a **** if they really deserve it 🤣

Station posted as Indiana back in the day, no idea about Doom.

I spent far too long in the Boardroom section which was generally sensible until the main thread posters turned up with their crayons. The Dressing Room was full of virtue signalling lefties so there was a bit fun to be had, the day after the Brexit vote was hilarious.

The concern really now is that the unchallenged nonsense that gets spouted on there, filters through to other social media, even local media and becomes fact and is used against the owner. And voices opposing are silenced

It pays for journos to pander to them though, as the ones constantly on social media and OT are generally the same people, so you get more clicks/likes for your buck.

Those not on it 24/7 generally don't care about what Chansiri does as long as we don't go into admin.

People who post on the Internet all day about the club are massively more invested than the average fan and there are many that do who's personal identity is tied too closely to the club and it's fortunes, so Chansiri absolutely windsurf them up because he doesn't care about their contribution and his 'embarrassing' rants are taken so personally and upset them because they can't differentiate themselves from the club.

Think is, if you believed the media and OT, you'd think 95% of fans are turning up to matches baying for his blood but all I'm seeing is a small mouthy minority and majority trying to help support and keep us up.

That's EXACTLY what's happening. Rotherham game, it's packed under the South everyone queueing to get in, one solitary voice starts the "get out of our club" chant, then stops when no other fucker joins in.

100% and many on OT spout that the ones who attend and, you know, support the players and the club financially, are actually part of the problem.

I wish I'd got a quid for every time I'd been told that by smug bastards on Twitter.  Plus "happy clapper" bollocks.

Queuing down the steps at the end of losing to Mansfield I had a big, loud mouthpiece bellow at me from about two feet away, "Don't fucking clap 'em after that!!!"  I  lost my rag and bellowed equally straight back at him that I was clapping Aiden Flint, who at that moment was stood at the bottom clapping us.  Mouthy did a bit of spluttering but nothing actually came out.  I hate gobshites!

Just like to say that I'm firmly in the DC camp. I think his hearts in the right place and him and his family appear to me as though they've developed an emotional attachment to the club. Also, I can't help but think that a little bit of light, cajoling pressure isn't a bad thing either, and I'm not talking about some of the toxicity displayed on other sites, just to show an element of expectations can't be bad can it?
