Chansiri appeals for cash.

Maybe the negative fans would be happy, they wouldn’t be able to moan that things are too expensive.

Wow!!!

£52 match day tickets from the opening game of the season vs Bristol City all those years ago

Expensive tickets gets you quality players.

Didn't realise expensive tickets gets you in severe financial trouble.

Disgusting comment to say given we've had some of the most expensive, if not, the most expensive match day tickets going for a while.

I don’t say this lightly, but I’m wondering if things are getting to DC to such an extent that his well-being and mental health are starting to suffer?

Look at how he’s conducted himself in recent press conferences, how he’s responded to supporter emails and we now have the statement from yesterday. It’s totally irrational and erratic behaviour.

He has had previous for this, I remember his outburst in 2018 when fans were unhappy with Jos Luhakay.

Think this was the conference that we found out he only signed Jordan Rhodes because 'the fans' wanted him 🤐

I have said on here before that when you deal with business owners then understanding their character and modus operandi is half the challenge. I also deal with some former Chief Execs, who I suspect were nightmares to work for in their prime years.

So you have that, plus the Thai cultural side plus he has lived an entitled life which my experience generates some right obnoxious twats.

I do think the cashflow problems are genuine and with that brings a further major pressure that exacerbates these characteristics

The sums are ridiculous too which I think sometimes us ordinary folk forget. It's not like cashing in your ISA cos the clutch has gone on your car. Suspect getting your hands on £2m in cash quickly isn't particularly easy.

Ironically I should have tapped up the client i saw yesterday who could have written a cheque to cover it. He would eat Chansiri for breakfast business acumen wise saying that.

But doing the WTID stuff I quickly realised how futile it would be and how wrong it would be to ask fans to "invest" into a black hole

So, there’s a social media picture going round suggesting it’s Chansiri responding to a fan and ‘DC’ says something along the line of his comments being taken out of context and he never asked for fans money.

If it is him. Then I’d expect a statement coming out soon to let us know what he ‘really’ said.

If this is remotely true then The Star journos deserve fucking with a pineapple

I'm probably in the remaining 5% who haven't jumped all over DC yet. Said in pub last night that I don't trust the star or radio sheff one bit and that it wouldn't surprise me if his broken English and some star story creation hasn't caused this. I doubt very much he sought an exclusive chat with the star and even more so that he wanted two million from fans. More a general point that cashflow has been tight and fans putting it in would sort it, not that he was requesting it. He should away from media, whether it's official or as I suspect a chat with a journo completely spun out of context. If you read the whole 'article' it just sounds like DC trying to explain he's owed money and it's causing problems. My criticism of DC is probably that he goes off on a tangent when he's better of just keeping quiet.

Just my take on it, had our local media, like vultures.

I'll never forget the fans forum a few years ago where the journo's totally took out of context the part where he mentioned selling the club and ran with false headlines stating the club was up for sale, unfortunately a large percentage of numpties took it as read, it's the old adage of repeating a lie enough times and it becomes the truth, this may be why DC asked for a translator he could seak in his native language and not have his words twisted.

I've often felt a lot of what he says is lost in translation a bit.

Playing fast and loose with your tax bill is a hiding to nothing (as we almost found out to our cost), but I just couldn't see DC sacking Xisco and appointing a whole new (and presumably fairly costly) management team to then not have the cash to pay the players. Doesn't make any sense. What seems more likely is that a chunk of cash was due and wasn't paid at the agreed point. Whether or not that was the fake yank is anyone's guess...

If that's true then the whole Chansiri family need to be firing writs off like a Gatling gun.

Lobotomised?

That is just sensationalist nonsense. "With every hour that passes the deadline gets nearer." Really? No shit! Maybe that's for the Stalk/WS contributors.

He does go on to say at the bottom that we have 30 days from last Monday though.

And what exactly is the MP going to do? Urgent meeting my arse, just tell her to FRO.

Interesting. I will be keen to hear what you accountant types think of this statement.

To a layman like myself, it would seem someone is twisting DC's words to meet their own agenda. But what would I know?

The accountant in me says don't air your laundry in public if you can avoid it. Ok the fact the EFL published the embargo on its website meant this was out of the Clubs hands (as to whether it was made public or not)

The interview to the media was ill founded in what he said. Ok not to say there was a temporary cash flow issue which can hopefully be resolved quickly - as it appears was - but the whole section of the interview about the fans stumping up cash, the threat about player wages, if you don't assist then don't blame me when the club is in the National League. Totally unnecessary, provocative and frankly unbecoming of a business person to make those comments

Why should he be, or more importantly none of our business, he needs to keep it that way

Errmm, because he’s just admitted to cash flow problems. If it can happen once it can happen again.

And if it’s none of our business then you don’t ask the supporters to stump up £2 million - he made it our business and because of what he said there are now even more supporters questioning his running of the club.

The only person to blame for all of this and who has lost face because of it is DC himself, not supporters.

It’s all very odd. Receiving £2m of cash in one month is a massive loan, high interest rate or both.
I do think he’s under pressure and this might not be the last we’ve heard of this, but better to take the positives and just breathe a sigh of relief for now.

We have seen Chansiri talk like this before on sky and he’s just as capable of r commenting  to the press when triggered and possibly regretting it afterwards. If there’s a hint of not being able to pay a tax bill and he tells the press they will be all over it. He’s clearly someone who wears his heart on his sleeve and often misunderstood in that regard but recently what he’s been coming out with isn’t what a leader of any organisation would and it causes chaos.

If i was threatened with seeing Gill Furness I'd settle my debt quickly too

Good job it wasn’t Suella, otherwise he’d be booked on a flight to Rwanda now!

Which no doubt a number of supporters would approve of.
