Some fair points, but the current biggest mistake was not appreciating the momentum of promotion. We can argue the merits of Moore etc. The current disdain for DC is I think straightforward. As a Wednesday fan the good days are not that frequent. The wind in our sails post Wembley was torn aside by his decisions. At present the outcome looks pretty grim. Not only are the results poor but the football is shite.

It is a fatigue borne over 25 years of abject failures by many parties to sort the Club out, whilst many other clubs have sailed on by.

This was our chance and its fucked

I get the point but AB raises a great point - did we really have momentum?

We had to pull out the bag an almighty comeback to get to Wembley and then we were pretty much outplayed by 10 men for most of the game!

The overwhelming lack of outrage from the fan base when DM was removed shows that we all feared we would struggle under his leadership.

We didn't have any momentum, despite promotion.

We stumbled across the line playing turgid football that was never ever going to get us anywhere in the league above

I would concur on the pitch, but lets call it the feel good factor in the fan base

The Moore decision was 50 :50

The appointment of Munoz erm

The type of players recruited erm

The absolute PR disasters we have seen

The complexity and stupidity of the ticket price increases

I'm not seeing the ticket price issue to be honest. There were 23k+ there against Boro for a midweek game that was on the telly. If tickets had been a tenner there wouldn't have been many more there, but we'd have made less.

I think the accounts in a couple of years will prove that the only thing stopping DC spending is FFP. That may have been true 5 or 6 years ago but not now imo

Not an opinion on accounts is it? It’s a prediction based on spending, I’m betting we’ll be well under the threshold under DC. It’s not the rules anymore, its a lack of ability or desire to spend

Not that there’s anything wrong with that if you can find a way to remain competitive, at the minute we’re struggling to do that while we pay some of the most expensive prices for tickets and merchandise.

Boils down to a lack of competence

Speaking of competence, have a look what you've put, above.  The first one.

Can't help thinking that this group has got the paws of trumpet twat, bloke who's Granddad stood at side of pitch moons ago, that ego dick on Stalk. Fake Yank with no money and the tall mouthy priest prick. It smells of em all. Attention seeking twats the lot of em

Not a member over there but had a few glances the owner is wanking over the tennis balls making wave.

I get he's a clicks dick and thrives on any negativity towards the club but he lets a lot of xenophobic stuff go when it's aimed in certain directions.

Bald twat on RS seems to revel in our slides despite him being a Wednesday fan..

Funny that Stalk got excited earlier that the holding company accounts Sheffield 2 limited had not been filed and Companies House had issued the standard gazette notice.

They have been less diligent in spotting the accounts were then actually filed so the Gazette notice will go away

The irony being Sheffield 2 don't actually matter too much.

Go on.....

One for us accountant geeks - the software used flags "warnings" about inconsistencies etc. Page 18 is basically one of these warnings and clearly no one actually ran thru each page and spotted it

Not that I would ever do something stoopid like that - well not every week anyway

So nothing for the layman or club to worry about….? Is that what you’re saying

No these are basically the same accounts we have already seen for SWFC - this is just the holding company which as nothing going on itself, beyond it also owns a Hong Kong company called Sheffield Wednesday (or that ilk)

Page 18 is just an occupational hazard - don't trust the computer !

Kieran Maguire embarrassing himself on Twitter by implying that Sheffield 2 has lost £7m in its own right as he doesn’t seem to understand the difference between group and company accounts. I don’t normally bite but I’ve pointed it out for him on this occasion.

I recall he never knew group relief existed either

Just thought I had best clarify my context of using "gimp" was "in lacking spirit"

I appreciate there is another context - which would be totally wrong to use at any time - so accept my apologies if that context was taken

Moral of that is not to post early in the morning and check the other definitions of words before ruddy using em

Black balloons at night.

These anonymous bitches need outing. Could be S2 lot stirring the shit, maybe Dingles/ Toytown The ideas they've had are tinpot just like them.

Whatever you think about DC, backing a group you have no idea who is behind it and who's only intent is for DC to just up sticks and feck off. The gimps then think we'll be bought by someone who will steer us reyt. So where is this buyer now?

My Spidey senses are tingling with this mob

I never hid with the original WTID - but then it was not really a protest group more wanting to ensure the club survived or not fall into unscrupulous hands

But some of the group were, and are, well known in the village that is Sheffield's business community so there was a rational for them to be unseen

But yep in this case then at least some of the organisers should have the balls to step out

It’s getting incendiary. The average football fan looks at those Sheffield 2 accounts and sees the word ‘loss’ and adds fuel to the Chansiri fire. Maguire pops up and incorrectly pours more petrol on it, and then Facebook, X and OwlsTalk, where the majority of people don’t understand any of this jump and down screaming.

There’s an adage, if you look for bad news it’s always easy to find. That’s happening here.

Good to see that Chelts sane post above has been noted on Stalk, not that it stops the "experts" on there

Like I have said before, probably on this thread, the fact is the unchallenged shite that gets spouted on Stalk (with a few honourable exceptions that fight a lone battle on there) is like you say this gets spread around other social media channels as "fact"

When these "facts" are then used to "pour petrol" to de-stabilise the Club for what ever purpose, then it needs to be challenged somehow

It's nigh on impossible there though when you have the site dictator stoking one agenda whilst actively restraining counter arguments via repetitive online bullying posts none too subtly abetted by selective post deletions.

This is exactly what he does, I had a very lengthy argument with him over a non football matter, as soon as I proved him to be totally wrong he stopped me commenting on the thread then invited a pile on from his sycophants, the blokes a total goon.

Yep that's his modus operandi. Faux virtuous, sly, bullying hypocrite.

Please explain to me what

“we want our Wednesday back” actually means?

When did we have it please?

What does it look like if we get it back?

Good question

I suppose at present its not a Club that is dominated by an owner, his personality and his mood swings and the question as to whom lurks in the background

But the Man U fans ask similar

Everton fans certainly have questioned it

I don't think this mystical rose tinted world really existed but yep you are caught between a rock and a hard place, you want the Club to be competitive on the pitch but would prefer your owners to be decent and understand the fan base

I want my Wednesday back without that tit blowing his trumpet and the prick with the drum. Uncle Albert's them pricks. They are to blame for our fall 🙂

I'll be amazed if we get to play any football in the first half Friday what with black balloons and stopping every two minutes to clap something or other.

We will if folk like me spend the build up to the game bursting any black balloons that come in their direction.

Is all this fuss cos we're not winning games anymore?

I see that a big problem stated is ticket prices. Fair enough. Agree with that.

But not sure what else is the problem. Fans were kissing his bum bum when he arrived and spent loads. It was fever pitch when we signed Rhodes for 10 million or whatever it was.

But that didn't work so we got penalised.

Then I see fans talk about needing to be being well run by not spaffing loads of cash and having a long term plan based on buying young / unproven diamonds in the rough and selling them a few seasons later for a significant profit like other clubs have.

Chansiri starts this season by not spaffing loads of cash and seems to be buying young / unproven diamonds in the rough with the potential to sell them a few seasons later for a significant profit.

Now fans want him to spend again. Da fuq?

Bad call with the new manager. Not worthy of all this fuss though.

None of this would be happening if we were winning.

Which is why the anonymity of the cretins is an issue.

Its either pigs = destabilise us

or

fake Yank = get us on the cheap

I wouldn’t say none of it would be happening, but it would be definitely be a little more muted
