Rob Staton retweeting Maguire’s incorrect tweet now. Can’t be arsed.

Why not do some research, no chance, it just comes across as another negative the way Maguire tweets it so job done where Statons concerned. It's one vicious cycle with the local media, stalk, twitter or whatever  it's called now, local journalists get fuck all out of the club so they pedal shit like this... makes me sick.

If it is then I'd actually have to admire them for thinking it through and the execution. But if it was then they could never claim the kudos and adulation or it would cause WW3.

He couldn't afford us if Chansiri put us up for a quid. He's the equivalent of that Nigerian mobile phone seller that kicked the tyres down at the Sty.

Can't Chansiri's legal team get Maguire to retract and issue an apology for spreading false information?

Get him under harming Sheffield 2's business reputation?

I think it was Alex Miller I had a twitter conversation with at the time the main accounts were released, asking why they didn't get a local accountant to put their view across. He had quoted Richard Murphy an academic at Sheff Uni and I suggested why get views from a lecturer that never do real life stuff

Can't Chansiri's legal team get Maguire to retract and issue an apology for spreading false information?

Get him under harming Sheffield 2's business reputation?

I guess he could if he really wanted to. Why I kind of expected Maguire to tweet a correction when it was pointed out to him.

Didn’t acknowledge my point the mardy f****r. I got 4 likes though so am flying on dopamine now.

I don't agree. But that's fine. But there's many reasons related to someone's mental health as to why they don't feel they can attend. You can still have an opinion on how the club is run for example, we all see the ticket prices, we all see the signings coming in via the net etc etc.

IMO of course... Commenting on performances on the field without seeing the games, is a different matter.

Probably the only Owl I've blocked on Twitter, (a good while back.)  That says something.

Well that was my thoughts, again didnt want to cause offence and get where hoylands coming from but a good example is him changing tact and saying he's  priced out and all the usual cocks offering to pay for him etc, doesn't  sit right with me.

Is all this fuss cos we're not winning games anymore?

I see that a big problem stated is ticket prices. Fair enough. Agree with that.

But not sure what else is the problem. Fans were kissing his bum bum when he arrived and spent loads. It was fever pitch when we signed Rhodes for 10 million or whatever it was.

But that didn't work so we got penalised.

Then I see fans talk about needing to be being well run by not spaffing loads of cash and having a long term plan based on buying young / unproven diamonds in the rough and selling them a few seasons later for a significant profit like other clubs have.

Chansiri starts this season by not spaffing loads of cash and seems to be buying young / unproven diamonds in the rough with the potential to sell them a few seasons later for a significant profit.

Now fans want him to spend again. Da fuq?

Bad call with the new manager. Not worthy of all this fuss though.

None of this would be happening if we were winning.

I don't this is entirely true, lots of people had reservations about the scattershot nature of the signings, we brought in a midfielder who we didn't need (Abdi) and started the season without a recognised CB or players with pace. The Rhodes signing came at a time when we already had too many forwards.

Good question

I suppose at present its not a Club that is dominated by an owner, his personality and his mood swings and the question as to whom lurks in the background

But the Man U fans ask similar

Everton fans certainly have questioned it

I don't think this mystical rose tinted world really existed but yep you are caught between a rock and a hard place, you want the Club to be competitive on the pitch but would prefer your owners to be decent and understand the fan base

I think you have a valid point in your definition  and to be fair it’s one I could get my head around.

I just can’t help but think it more sinister for some who use it!

Maybe that’s more reflection of my feelings towards the current state of things outside football than those who are using at s6

He’s an antagonistic twat at times but lot sure what he’s ever made up?

Off the top of my head - Sean Clare being "frozen out" he was a young player who made less than a handful of appearances. He wasn't frozen out he was only being played because we had a few injuries and then when we didn't he didn't play any more.

Also don't recall DC releasing a statement congratulating the pigs.

Joey Pelupessy did not sign in July 2017

Someone allegedly that knows their Wednesday, would know he was Jos Luhakays signing for £350,000 in the January transfer window 2018.

Scored a cracker at Millwall as well.

On the 2nd part he did, no issue with that mind. Showed class

And the overwhelming reception to that statement was that it was a touch of class.

Non of the saltiness shown towards us by McCabe and Wilder if I recall.

Throw in a little revisionism and it’s being painted negatively.

What I object to in those type of lists is it fails to put the yin with the yang.

For example it fails to list any of the decent players acquired.

Or in May 2016 - Wednesday got the nearest since 1999 of returning to the Premier League

Rather than saying losses of £Xm you could flip and state funds introduced to run the Club by DC.

Clearly there are some of the things on the list that are well deserving of criticism. The whole stadium debacle for one where a spend of a couple of grand on a property lawyer would have saved a lot of grief.

I refer to it because that time absolutely changed my relationship with SWFC. I grew tired of dragging my arse up the M1 to see performances on the pitch clearly impacted by the piss poor decisions off it.

The truism stated on here is that if the team are doing well then the issues DC has created are temporarily parked. If we are not, and where over the summer more are added, I understand where the frustration comes from.

Are the protests the right way, probably not, but I guess I understand where they are coming from in seeking change. But you cannot de-stabilise the Club and then leave AN Others to sort the mess.

Slight tangent but in life I am a strong advocate of human rights but that is intertwined with human responsibilities.

Taking that down several large degrees, I accept that the fans should have the right to protest, but with a responsibility not to disrupt the players or indeed others enjoyment.

To move that on, if you are seeking to get Chansiri out, get our Wednesday back, then for me you cannot pass the responsibility on in finding a new investor.

You will not embarass or force DC out of owning the Club. What could work is persuading him that for the Club and indeed his own wellbeing, a change is appropriate.

To repeat a point, what actually does he get from owning the Club, what is the motivation, what are the intentions. That is unknown, may never be volunteered by him, but to me is the crucial part of the jigsaw

Fair points. Human rights v responsibilities and the weighting of this is suspect whilst having common ground we may significantly diverge also lol

I guess regards Chansiri do we honestly think we’ve crossed the Rubicon now - I still think an upsurge in results will dampen down the anger and whilst I think the base of anti Chansiri as grown it’s not the majority of the base is my guess.

Why does anyone own a football club ultimately from abroad? I’ve always held him to us word it’s something he wanted to pass to his family.

FFP rules screwed Chansiri in the first 3 years. Splashing the cash, innovative sponsorship injections and ultimately the ground sale are options now all dried up.

Sustainable running of the club involves pricing, extra events (being planned), wage controls, success on the pitch and cup runs. It also involves having a talent production system that can be recycled generating revenue via selling players. Rehabilitation of old and young players is part of that.

If you look over 8 years fine. But I think the second part of his ownership is more about the paragraph directly above - and that only started post covid restriction being lifted.

Sunderland are a decent example of how it can be done, they were arguably in a worse mess than us but now look like a team that will challenge and could get to the top flight in the next few years.

so.... every year the club renews a £6.6m loan and the lender requires a charge over the stadium as security from DC being the owner of the club.

As DC isn't UK resident, a personal guarantee isn't worth a penny - also capital exchange controls in Thailand MAY  prevent him from provided foreign debt security and if so this would be unenforceable in Thai courts. So any UK asset he owns is provided as security.

The loan is over 10yrs old and is more likely than not used to support cashflow during the season.

DC has previously referred to this loan in Q&A's and IIRC the advice he had was not to repay from his own funds for whatever reason

Which comes down to them doing a decent job when it comes to club leadership and management, which they continue to build on.

Whereas we are seriously questioning Chansiri’s leadership right now and in Munoz, management is arguably even worse.

Whereas they question the owners after Stewart was sold or when Neil jumped ship

Fuck me I dare not go on Stalk

The finance expert S36 OWL- drives a removal van - will be telling everyone the debt is now £26m

I will take the word of the professionally regulated audit firm that signed off the disclosure in the 2022 accounts that stated the above.

Its£66m isn't it?

You know 10 times £6.6m....

IIRC wasn't this a debt that Mandaric had accumulated and was perhaps not 100% transparent about its origins.

As we know if you acquire the shares then you get all the assets and liabilities.

I suspect there is a lot more background to this, but simply conjecture on my part

True - it was a strange one because the old accounts never showed it as a loan, stuck it in other creditors.

The issue it creates is that as a rolling loan facility the historic charges are not being satisfied. I sort of get why they are not, seen that elsewhere.

The other is the reference to New Avenue Projects Limited, as you look at their accounts there is no outstanding loan in debtors. So not quite sure how it all pieces together.

If New Ave are simply acting as nominee then it's not their asset so wouldn't do, but they would have the legal right to take security.

Good way of protecting debt owners identity
